  1. The owners are so disconnected from their fan base it makes me want to vomit. In no way did I believe the Twins would be off air for this length of time and it clearly shows that the owners only care about money and not about the team or fans. With that out of the way, I am surprised by the offensive onslaught that has continued through the month of July. I am also pleased to see the strikeout rate has plummeted and batters are having longer ABs. I am disappointed at how the bullpen has performed. This was suppose to be a major strength this year and it has turned into a major disappointment. It needs to get fixed but again I really do not think the owners care as long as they get the moolah. In closing I am still really bitter about the team as a whole and wish they would simply just sell the team.
  2. If they want to make a push into the playoffs they have to strengthen the bullpen.
  3. The owners clearly have shown they care very little about this team and they care even less about the fans. My prediction they will not pick up anyone of significant value.
  4. Owners have already said they won't spend money outside of what they have already spent. They will not make any big splashes and who really cares, hardly anyone in the Minneapolis area can even watch them.
  5. Doesn't matter when you have one of the worst owners in baseball.
  6. I never understood why they would extend a injury prone center fielder who seems to get hurt simply by running.
  7. Don't care who we win against, we are back to .500 and show signs of life. We just have to get healthy, fire the hitting coach, get two more decent starts, get a decent utility player who can bat above .100 and a decent RP. Almost there.
  8. He should of been fired at the end of last season.
  9. This is just like a trade!
  10. Should of traded Kepler in the off-season while his stock was up. He isn't good regardless of what he did last year.
  11. Well, look at this way, when we continue this nose dive and bring up prospects, that is like making a trade.
  12. The upper management deserves to reap what they sow. They sat back and did nothing to help this team.
  13. A lot of fans believed this team would be different without making any changes to their approach. I am curious how that is working out ? It might be early but I see very little to be positive about. Good luck getting 2 million fans this year.
  14. Here is the thing, the Twins didn't change anything in regards to how they approached at bats. They still are striking out at an awful pace, unable to drive in runs and not taking walks. It is early but how exactly do you think it would change from last year when there was zero personnel changes in regards to hitting ? We squeaked by with our pitching, but we got rid of a decent innings eater starter and made no move to replace him with someone comparable. It really is a head scratcher hearing from some that they are surprised at how we are doing, even though it is only April I see nothing but a downward trend for this team until they make significant changes to their conditioning personnel, hitting coach and head coach.
  15. Same Twins. I have seen a lot of puff pieces on here and I will be curious when this continues to happen will it be the same ? How long do we simply settle for mediocre?
  16. Completely agree, never understood why they didn't fire him, since we set the record for strike outs.
  17. Always nice to beat the Brewers and we got a split. I am not sure the actual statistics, but it feels like we aren't striking out as much and taking some more walks.(Small sample size) Now to the negative aspect, the head scratcher pinch hitter was another glaring hole. I will say it again that I don't think Rocco is a good manager and I think we will see even more boneheaded moves as the season progresses.
  18. What happened to the old school rule that tie goes to runner?
  19. I am glad my pending transaction on Ober didn't finalize until tomorrow for fantasy baseball.
