  1. I am really wanting autographs and from my understanding you want to show up around 9am to scope out the practice fields, my question is about the opposing teams. Do they use the Twins practice fields ? I am interesting in getting as many autographs as possible in the three days I am there. Also, any must see bars or seafood restaurants that I should check out? I have rented a car too, so 20 mile radius is cool . Thanks!
  2. It is a bummer Correa has been injured so much since signing with the Twins, but unlike Buxton with his hot and mostly cold streaks Correa is solid on the field and in the batter's box. He seems to be respected in the locker room too. When he is interviewed regarding his injuries, he is pretty devastated by it. You can clearly see how much this guy loves baseball. You don't trade a guy like this nor would any team sign a player with his history. All you would do by shopping him is piss him off.
  3. If you believe that an owner/owners are going to swoop in and unload wheelbarrows full of money to launch this team into the stratosphere, you are diliusinal. The fact that the owners kept payroll in line with how much revenue they generated shows clearly that they were in line with the norm. When you take the Royals, Tigers and Guardians clearly showing that low payroll teams can make the playoffs it shows that you don't need to overspend. Lastly, baseball is dying. Look at the statistics of revenue and you clearly see a downward turn. No future owner is going to bet the farm on a sport that is slowly dying.
  4. Meh, I think the Pohlad's as a whole do a lot for the community, but I don't believe they really care that much about owning a baseball team. Carl Pohlad was never a big fan of the Twins, but his wife Eloise was and I believe that is what drove the additions and subtractions from the team. Since she has been gone for quite some time now I really believe none of the owners really care at all about the team. They aren't fans and one of the reasons you hardly ever see them at the games. They really need to sell the team. They have made a huge profit and should simply walk away, specially if they have no interest in success. The only way the ownership sells the team IMO is if you continue to see a drop off in attendance which as many know clearly is what they make the most money on. Fans need to simply stop going and I have no doubt they will put them up for sale. Off topic, does anyone know the lease agreement with Target Field regarding the Twins?
  5. I hope they lose bad and fans finally start realizing that if you don't attend the games , eventually the owners will sell or invest in the team. This is a joke of an organization and I don't fault the players, but I fault the owners. A pathetic display of greed.
  6. He can't manage a bullpen and has a really difficult time putting together lineups that make sense., buttttttttttttt this isn't the reason this team is not being able to compete on a daily basis, that reason goes to the owners who continue to show that the ONLY thing they care about is money and not baseball. If we had a multiple players that are A+ players and we lost easy games like we have I would be more inclined to replace him, but we don't. We have a cheap tossed together team , with aging, injury prone players and sub par pitching .
  7. Meh, he has done some awesome things and given how many games he has saved with his glove, his veteran presence and his hot streaks at the plate I would still consider him a success.
  8. Fantastic breakdown of what happened. I would really enjoy seeing more articles like this.
  9. Lol, decent article but the owners care about one thing and that is money. There will be no significant trades.
  10. Ober looked completely dialed in and simply dominated. Jeffers needs to make some adjustments. Again, can Cleveland please start losing when we start winning.
  11. Cause they are 1. Horrible owners 2. Greedy 3.Care very little about the team
  12. One can always hope.
  13. Yah, the Twin's owners are pretty much broke even though they got 40 million for a TV deal that never happened, a new stadium which they didn't pay for and a team that has steadily have made them millions each year. So, I believe they are in a position to make a move.
  14. This is what happens when you don't have enough depth in your bullpen, regardless it was a great game. Just a bad end.
  15. You really seem to be cherry picking in yet another puff piece at how amazing the FO is.
  16. His injuries are well documented. I think that regardless of him missing some games he still is a beast. Frankly, I don't care. He has shown some mad skills and is better than any other past signings in the last 5 years.
  17. It was a great win and you have to be excited at the prospect of Lee in a Twins uniform. Please please please can the Twins just pick up two arms before the deadline?
