    While I am not exactly thrilled with the acquisitions regarding the starting pitchers I don't exactly hate it. The Twins are putting a lot of hope into their younger pitchers and that is pretty much the norm with this team. The rotation given that we play in a weak division looks just as promising as last year's which isnt saying much but we should still compete. I think one of the huge additions would be Donaldson. If they won't spend on pitching, spend on people who can mash the ball. Hopefully the pitching staff can buy us time and we can make a move for pitching in June or Julu.

    I don't care about these pitchers, hell they are an upgrade. Now because of these medicore signings it is time to sign Donaldson. If they pull that off I would give the off-season grade a C+ which is way better than the F that they had.

    How many more times are you going to try and justify the Twins organization on doing absolutely nothing when it comes to improving the starting rotation year after year? This is why we lose, we can not and will not be able to compete against teams like the Yanks and Houston without making some type of change. It is mind boggling on how much this board continues to fall into the trap of trade rumors and FA rumors every and I mean every single year only to have the Twins do nothing. It doesn't matter how this team performs. The management only cares about dollar signs. I mean how can you be fooled year after countless year?!?

    It is so hard to be a fan of this organization when they simply sit idle. We should of easily gotten Porcello. I don't buy into the fact they are trying much at all for any decent pitchers. In fact I think they will scrape the bottom of the barrel again.

    It is not surprising at how "impact pitchers" are not wanting to come here since they know they probably would be just rentals. The Twins have a tendency to simply dump off players at an alarming rate. Players have no stability with this team and the owners are cheap. I have read the whole we have 101 wins...yah well we had a really really weak central division and we got slaughtered again in the playoffs. This team is going to be medicore up until the Pohlads sell the team. By medicore I mean doing zero in the playoffs due to lack of pitching.

    Let's just say for a minute that the Twins do absolutely nothing during the winter meetings like so many years prior, I am curious if people will finally believe that the owners do not care about this team. I don't think they will get any impact pitcher at all simply because of what history tells us.

    The reason they are dwindling is because the Twins have no plans on signing anyone noteworthy. I anticipate another weak winter meeting and assume they will attempt to pick up pitchers who are on the downward trend like they normally do.

    Lol, The Twins will never sign Wheeler or any pitcher close to Wheeler unless they only request 6 million a year or less. Time and time again we hear the same song and dance regarding this organization being so close to signing a big name player only to fall short . Until they are sold they will continue to seek pitchers through their farm system and hope for the best.

    Twins are not going to make any significant trades. All it is with this orginization is rinse and repeat.

    Best post of the entire thread. Spend the money and sign some good pitchers. I still think they wont sign any superstars because they never have in their entire history. (Pitchers)

    The problem is not just pitching, the problem is they look absolutely scared crapless. The Yanks look like they have been here countless times which they have. The Twins are not going to take this game. It is the same thing everytime we go to the playoffs. Rinse and repeat.

    Same old garbage. Twins obviously fold under any pressure in the playoffs. Yet again they looked completely lost.

    It was a good season but you cant win against good teams without quality pitchers who can perform against teams with winning records. Also Rocco showed that he was a rookie coach. The curse continues.

    This would be a huge loss. Not a series ender but a big loss if Arraez is out against the Yanks. Why arent people pointing out the obvious again with Rocco when it comes to the point of playing people that are going to be starters in the playoffs? This game was completely meaninless.

    4 homers given up to a team that ranks 25th in home runs doesnt exactly scream elite.

    Toss a good game against a quality team and I will be impressed. Glad we got the win.

    He has pulled pitchers quite often with mid 80s pitch counts. I would be curious what the actual stat is.

    I disagree. I wont explain again because I posted before. If Rocco was so worried about Rodgers he would of never brought him in to bail Dyson out. One more note, if they wanted to use him to just use him than have him pitch in the 7th or 8th which is why he was brought over.
