    good luck with that working out. Bottom line is, as well as Woods-Richardson has pitched he's done so through our jaded lens and he has ZERO shot at ROY. Deal with it.

    I agree that Wood-Richardson has been a godsend but can we STOP with the ROY steam? Not gonna happen. Would be extremely unlikely to finish top 10 much less top 5 or higher. Lanford, Cowser, Miller Horwitz, among others all going to finish ahead of him and by the end of the year he might even be looking up at Brooks Lee. I know we want to support OUR guy but let's not do it at the expense of looking ridiculous doing so. Feel free to copy / paste this comment and shove it back at me if I'm wrong. I won't be.

    Would love to see some data on just that: The likelihood of a guy pitching the same after an injury as before.

    None of Larnach/Wallner/Kiersey and I'll even throw in Kirilloff & Margot do anything to inspire me to believe they are capable of creating that little something special that will likely need to come from somewhere to get to the playoffs and succeed after getting there. Kepler does. The mere fact that you are looking at contenders possibly trading for him tells you that. The most likely outcome of trading him is creating a need to replace him. I hate to beat a dead horse but I will anyway. Nice to finally be getting a return on the Berrios deal a few years back but what we ignore about that deal is that in the two ensuing seasons we ended up trading assets for Tyler Mahle, Sonny Gray and Pablo Lopez all in an attempt to fill the hole in the rotation created when we moved Berrios.

    You might want to check the sportsbooks. Wood-Richardson isn't in the top 10. Put some money down if you think he should be.

    I believe we have sufficient offense but not enough excess to trade. Also not sure what we'd get in return without parting with one of the top 3 prospect bats.

    To be honest we worry less about whether a guy is left or right handed and more about what they do against right and left handers.

    It's almost as if fan angst based on a six week sample size early in the season is unwarranted. I once again go back to Donovan Solano having 5 RBI as May passed the 3/4 pole last year and thinking this guy is basically useless. And yet he was on of our most important sticks the rest of the way. Whouldathunkit?
