    You do realize that the Pirates have consistently been one of the most profitable teams in MLB, don't you? Cut local costs to the bone and roll around in the shared media money, that's how.

    "Sheltie" -- Do you really like people calling you that? And as a follow up: "will you be getting your legs shortened"? Did you meet/interview with any of these new "shadow partners" ? And their names are? You finished runner-up to Rocco the 1st go round and saw how that played out, and yet you willingly came back? Can you explain/elaborate? Did you make sure that all the promises that were made to you were actually written into your contract? And that contract length is how long exactly?

    Just wondering what other people have been doing, but back during COVID (I was 55 at the time) I got out of bonds in my 401k altogether and haven't looked back. I realize we've been on quite the boom market ever since, but I just think about how much money people left on the table with the "classic" 70-30 or 60-40 splits that had been historically touted as "what to do", especially as you get older. You don't really hear much about the bond markets so much anymore. Will they ever "come back" or will people tend towards more dividend based stock portfolios?

    Does anyone think that the new, apparently silent (for now at least) partners have been or will be given, any say in the matter? Or are they just a money infusion hoping to make their profit when the team does get sold, somewhere down the line?

Did they come up with that line off the back cover off of "How to manage in the Big Leagues 101"? Because I sure haven't seen them exude any of those qualities on for years and years now. "communication" -- What that they got rid of Dave St. Peter? There has been zero improvement in that area and if anything, it's gotten even worse. "development" -- pretty obvious when you look at the ongoing on-field shenanigans throwing to the wrong base, horrible base running, inability to bunt or hit behind the runner. "preparation" -- yeah preparation-H because these fools are just one big pain in the....

    Let's be honest, the only reason they are actually pretending to 'connect' with the public is because (finally) people saw through a the BS they sling, and stopped buying tickets. Face it, when they "sell" 24,000 tickets to a game and only 9-10k show up, sure they got paid for those tickets, but when more than half of the people who bought decide to basically just throw their tickets away in disgust and not attend, that is not a good look, and certainly not a path to good things.

    I was reading an article where they ranked the 8 (yes, 8!) open managerial positions, and they placed the Twins 3rd; Braves 1st, Angels 8th.     If I had to fathom a guess it would be that someone, realizing the Pohlads aren't exactly the sharpest tools on the shed, sold them a bill of goods on some sort of AI 'system' that could do all that scouting work just making use of "big data" (think bigger, faster, broader reaching, computerized version of 'Moneyball' type statistics).

    I guess I never realized (nor did most people I'd guess) that this was an ongoing, reading/collecting the votes each day, rolling set of polls. I just saw the polls varied every few days, but never consistently 'voted' on a regular basis as you apparently set out for people to do. Did you receive more or less a consistent amount of votes each day?
