  1. I can see this if I squint. They have some great upside on offense for sure. And if the bullpen is really the best in baseball, that will be huge.
  2. so you are ok having a guy you plan to have pitcher 2-3 innings when Paddock pitches? I'm guessing no. We disagree. I think there is room. I mean, that guy could pitch 2 innings another start also many weeks, especially early in the year with off days.
  3. Buxton will get some DH time too, even if he is healthy, I'd guess.
  4. Yup...also why the last hitter should be optionable.....seriously.
  5. The statement was there wasn't room to use a guy for more than an innings or two for a particular starter, the order is irrelevant. The names are irrelevant. There is room to have a guy you plan to use when paddaock starts. Whatever you call it.
  6. Have you compared it to other teams? How many shut down guys do they have? How deep are they? I mean, websites that look at every team are quite bullish.... You can't look at this team in a vacuum and compare it to other teams.
  7. Tell that to Tampa.... There is absolutely room to do it.
  8. Agreed. Cantenrio, which I clearly have no idea how to spell. He's got to be on an innings limit. Use those in the majors.
  9. How many lock down arms do you think most teams have? How many have this much depth? I'd guess almost none of them.
  10. How this guy still has a job amazes me. Pisses off fans at ever opportunity, and can't get this team a tv deal.......
  11. You'd have to find a team trying to win now, who had an elite pitcher they wanted to trade. That would be zero teams. It's not what any team would do.
  12. Second favorite player last year, so I was thrilled he was there at five. I really do believe he could be in the majors in 25.... But I won't be disappointed if it's the following year
  13. Sudden death. I'm not sure they win any way. Mahomes said if they needed a TD, they'd have gone for two and the win.. and we all know they'd make it
  14. Because you never get rid of the mediocre veteran, and the prospect sits in the minors. If there's an injury, they just send the guy back down when the veteran is healthy. You need multiple injuries for Martin to play more than a few games if you sign MAT or similar.
  15. fascinating. Truly. Moving him to LF and Wallner to RF does so much for this team long term (I don't think they'll put Lee in the majors ASAP this year).....
  16. I have zero interest in backup/not all that good players at this point. Add stars, or move on.
  17. ok, so it could take a year...... So, a whole year before even considering if he should come, according to that post.
  18. You never know the future.....like holding Strasburg out to rest him his rookie year! You take the chance to win when you have it, because the M&M boys might get injured and your long term plans can be shot. That said.....he won't be, and they shouldn't make decisions on ST stats, IMO. My feeling is that this board vastly undervalues Lee (not the rankers, clearly) and he will be much better in AAA than most here expect. He'll also waste most of the year there, and unless they move Lewis to the OF or Julien to first/in a trade, he'll never give the Twins all the value he can because others will be blocking him.
  19. I do agree that one of them MIGHT try the sign Cousins route.......sure. I don't think Penix will have steam at this point. Which, wow, he was so great so many games, and so mediocre in others.
  20. Sure, someone could decide not to take QB....but if you don't have a QB and then have a shot at one and don't take one, well, I'm confused what you are doing. I guess the Bears could keep Fields....but they Vikings and Bears aren't dealing this many picks to each other, IMO (yes, I know about the trades with Detroit and GB).
  21. Tacoby Bellsbury 2:03 Who's your all-time favorite French Canadian MLB player? Ben Clemens 2:03 After looking through a list, isn't Edouard Julien the only real choice? 2:04 oh no that was active players I mean my favorite is still Julien but I would take Gagne and Morneau over him still so far dust 2:12 Morneau isn't French Canadian, the last name is a red herringReactReact Ben Clemens 2:12 What 2:13 outrageous Mike 3:01 Will the Twins trade for or sign a good SP this off season? Will they find a RH hitting OF? Both? Neither? Ben Clemens 3:01 I'm guessing neither at htis point
