  1. All y'all have staked out your positions for years on this topic. You have more stamina than me!
  2. I'm trying to be a better person, so I'll feel bad for him for a minute or two. He's one of the final straws for me ever rooting for individual athletes......
  3. Cool. Was just going to check....
  4. Likely it does nothing good. You can be competitive without spending in the top half, but you aren't winning it all.
  5. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/2024-prospect-week-chat/ ram 1:15 Has there ever been a disparity between your list and the ZIPs list that has caused you to go back and reevaluate a prospect? Eric A Longenhagen 1:17 Yes, Danny sends me zips a few days ahead so i can double check some guys. This year it was Danny de Andrade, who I felt comfortable moving on from quickly from a top 100 standpoint, still a fair prospect who'll be on their team list
  6. For fun? I'm going with Montgomery for 1-2 years......
  7. At least he's being honest.
  8. Big fan of this combination. I expect Jeffers to be about ten percent worse, and Vazquez to be much better.... So a little better overall than last year. I hope Jeffers starts about ten or twenty more games than last year....
  9. Never too old! I bought more Nvidia after this mornings plunge.
  10. It's literally an article about payroll....what id you expect?
  11. that said, I 100% think this is why payroll is what it is this year. I also think they believe (rightly?) in the SP in AA and AAA and don't think they need to sign a FA SP to a 2+ year deal.
  12. I'm guessing Hunter and Cousins are gone. This is going to be ugly for a couple years.
  13. Fangraohs writers listed no one in the Twins.... Those two were from scouts. I was kind of bummed about that, given how many made that list.
  14. They brought in a RB, he got hurt.... To be clear, I'm no defender of this front office.....
  15. Every penny spent on dudes that don't play is money not spent on guys that do. Hard pass.
  16. I'd fire the entire FO if he's brought back. I might insist they fold the team completely.
  17. If he's not playing CF, I don't know why....and hope he's awesome to start the year in AAA and traded, because they are wasting time with him in the infield in AAA given what is in MN and AAA already.
  18. that first part also shows why maybe you don't trade depth.....because Sano didn't work and they needed both Larnach and Kiriloff (neither of whom have worked out).....and this team won't afford veterans in all those spots....
  19. I don't agree they are young by experience at all. Julien, Wallner and Lewis..... That's it for guys without much experience. Maybe, maybe, kiriloff. Otherwise this is a veteran team with more leadership than followers. I'm always amazed how many posts I read here about inexperience and youth, given this roster.
  20. He wasn't redundant three or two years ago. That's just not fair. I agree with you in principle, but not this example. I'm not sure we knew he was redundant last year to start either. Thiey do have more OF prospects than catcher or pitcher right now....
  21. Taylor. People are mentioning Taylor. And other affordable guys. As for bellinger, he was terrible before last year and wants big money and lots of years. But if he'll come for three years, sure, they could do that. Pretty risky..... Given their budget constraints.
