  1. Correa is injured and it didn’t heal over the offseason. Does he go on the IL when Royce comes back?
  2. To add to my previous post. The OP did some really good analysis. I appreciate the work that went into it. Well written!
  3. I believe it’s the wrist injury. Gleeman said on the pod that he’s been dealing with it since last year.
  4. That may lead one to believe that an automatic Margot might be preferable, but that assumption would be false. All types of Margot’s must be demolitioned from the area before surface prep.
  5. You know your a Twins fan when “giving the team ‘options’” means “options to make the team worse”
  6. That’s a lot of Pavement https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QTTgpTeb0Z8&pp=ygUWcGF2ZW1lbnQgY3V0IHlvdXIgaGFpctIHCQmECQGHKiGM7w%3D%3D
  7. A front office blow-up management change, followed by a sale of the team and another front office management change would super-suck. If this team continues to play this badly, I can’t imagine Baldelli makes it to the All-Star Game and Falvey survives past the World Series. if it’s just Baldelli being the sacrificial lamb, it wouldn’t really matter that much. I don’t think managers actually impact the in game outcomes that much.
  8. Extra credit would have been: ”You’re out of your element Donny!”
  9. I guessed 11! It looked like about 8 from the home run porch
  10. They scored 4 runs… I wouldn’t call that a success
  11. he was a bit in no man’s land… Staying on his feet and letting his momentum carry him could have risked a full speed collision into the wall. That would have been way worse.
  12. I will be there, unless my buddy that I split my season tix with bails on me, we are certain to beat that
  13. We all cling to ‘91… but there’s a reason it’s the only example cited in any team’s slow start.
  14. This! also to add, face value tickets preseason were up 20% over last year. They screwed the pooch last year, then passed on the offseason, took the only option in video broadcast, and raised ticket prices…. this frickin’ team…
  15. Matt Wallner slugged .500ish in the international league and continues to do so. remember minor leagues vary greatly league to league. The Twins affiliates change every few years, which skews some of the points of reference. Read the Terry Tiffee article for a good perspective.
  16. The last outing his breaking ball wasn’t breaking enough. A pitch that last year would have hit the catchers mitt inside and thigh high was dead center of the zone. Two outings ago he adjusted for the lack of break with a back door slider low and away, this go around he didn’t…
  17. Agreed, except Morris will be needed in the rotation too
