    Looking at Headricks stats with the Yankees. He could be a Miss again in the evaluation of pitchers. Just like Cano with the Orioles. Does this reflect a weakness in our evaluation process?

    I am concerned about him and Alcala. Neither of them seem to have the consistency that we need to have for a relief pitcher that we can count on in tight gains.

    I think the question is will Julian sustain what he's doing and if he doesn't Luke will be there. He is obviously the player in waiting and if they slide. Julien to DH. He might come up even earlier. It also depends on Lewis and whether we are keeping Brooks Lee at third phase or moving him back the second. I really like him and I guess I would rank him highest myself and uneven thinking. He's going to push Jenkins if Jenkins continues to have health issues and injury issues. As much as I want. Walker to succeed. I think Luke, despite his injury and surgery, seems to be moving the bar the most of all our prospects.

    I would certainly like to see Larnach succeed but his career so far has been erratic and at times he just seems lost. I was hoping after last year that he had really figured things out. And based on the fact that we used the him and clean up to start the season. The club must also have high hopes. It's not like I want him cut. But I do see him being vulnerable as we look at the outfielders that are coming up through the minors. They're not quite ready but by the end of the year they'll be pushing hard

    I always enjoy these weekly summaries even when they are about a bad week. The name I am disappointed in is Trevor Larnach. Batting 185 with no HR. He started as the clean up hitter, but seems lost again. His career has been so uneven I see him being the OF replaced by the next round of prospects.

    With Lee and Keaschall I think that Eddie should feel the pressure and if he does great - maybe we can pull an Arraez type trade with him. When Lewis comes back. I am assuming Gaspar is done, but could be surprised. Next look at Larnach. He started at clean-up, but he seems to be going the opposite direction of Julien right now.

    Good report, but I hate to see all the injuries on the prospect list.

    No - you misread me. I would love to see Julien regain his status of two years ago. But if I am looking at the players who would follow Miranda to the minors I see him as one of them - his defense is not keeping him here and he has had a very long down period. Can he sustain what he is doing now? I suspect (hope) that Gaspar is next to go down or DFA, but if I am looking at past and present prospects Julien is in danger of losing his roster spot in the future.

    I am sorry to say that I could not read all the summaries. The Twins have me too depressed and frustrated. I read the transactions and then blanked out - sorry Seth, you do such a good job. Seth do you just ignore the team in Minneapolis?

    I think Miranda is done as a Twin - maybe he can resurrect with another team. But right now I think Larnach and Julien are not far behind. Lee has not looked great but hopefully he will rise to MLB level quickly. Unfortunately our two highest paid position players are also demotion worthy at this point too.

    No. How about letting our starting pitching learn how to handle a multiple times through the lineup? I have enough pitches. They have enough variety and we have been overworking our bullpen.

    Yes - pulling the starter early is disastrous - is there a learning curve here? I am hoping Festa does well, but based on the season so far, I wish it was Zebby.

    I love that the comments reflect the fact that we're getting past the how many strikeouts question and how far does he pitch and how effective is he. I used to watch a lot of pitchers succeed with ground balls and smart placement of their pitches.

    I am concerned about Walker - we have this long list of issues - Kiriloff, Buxton, Lewis, Correa, Lee, and Stewart and Canterino - and it will be sad to see Walker have the same on-field, off-field career.

    I am also anxious to see Morris and Matthews instead of Paddock - maybe a six man rotation will allow more starters to be prepared to pitch deeper in the game like Ryan just did. What is the status of Lopez? MLB expects him to go on the IL - that means both pitchers can come up if we move Paddock to the pen.

    As fans, it's tough to show your discontent and not lose your team to some other City. The twins are a public relations disaster and the Pohlads amaze me. How can these very rich men not understand public relations.

    So nice to have a win but more important to me was Ryan pitched the way that I expect a starting pitcher got and I'm sorry they didn't go out for the 8th cuz I would have loved to see him just complete this game. As I read this excellent summary. I was impressed that for once it's not about how many k's the pitcher gets instead. 83 pitches getting the picture through the 7th inning. Sometimes that little one pitch ground out is a lot more valuable than the K.

    What is there to add to the comments we've been making this entire season. Keep waiting until I think there is enough of the season to be able to see any trends, but we're playing so poorly. There's no trend to be found other than bad baseball. I know we're going to be bringing up a pitcher but I think we need some position players to come up for the minors too. Gaspar is not the answer and should not be on the team. I'm sorry it was a nice story but we can't afford a nice story. We need to have a winning story.

    Yes, except the batter with the best average - Wallner - was sent to St Paul where he caught fire. This year we were smart enough to keep him.

    Thanks for the correction. I meant Tampa Bay for got my Florida James mixed up. Although Miami has come up with enough good pictures that they've traded them around and unfortunately for the team they make lousy trades.
