Okay - Wallner is ready - no more delay! Nice to see Kaelen Culpepper performing so well. I think he will move up the prospect list quickly - maybe number 2. At some point it would be nice to see a leaders board across the minors - I love seeing the prospect list, but I know there are others performing well and it is hard to keep track of all of them.

Those two are important not only this season but for the future and health is the one big issue that concerns me with Lewis. If I might add this rainy delay is probably good for our bullpen arms but I feel bad for Carson because this would have been his opportunity to show what he has.

I am always hesitant to put labels on BP arms - we have seen the Griffin Jax implosions and there will be more for the entire group. Alcala is the weakest arm for me because he is too erratic. But let's just hope health and usage does not wear them down.

I love that Zebby is up, and I love the streak, but what a challenge for Zebby to have to keep the streak alive with number 14! I hope he shines and the bats keep hot.

It is hard to celebrate until I know the fate of Correa and Buxton our two fragile stars! But still - 11 in a row is amazing and has been really fun.

I too am guilty of giving up to soon. So let's hope the team does not find reverse. Winning is so much fun.

An interesting week - I still like the idea of calling up McCusker. What happened to Beltre? Sad to see 5 of the players injured. I think Winokur and Morris should be higher and Raya and Soto lower - not off the list, but down a few notches. And based on the TD profile Amick and McCusker should both be higher. The pleasure of this summary is the idea of creating our own rankings and seeing the performances beyond one game.

The Minnesota Twins Have a New Top 100 Prospect
mikelink45 replied to Jamie Cameron's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
Always fun, but no ranking counts until they prove it. -
Interesting set of games - McCusker has to slow down or all of us calling for his promotion with go crazy! Morris lines give me less expectations for MLB call up and success at this point. As the season progresses I am less and less sure that Emmanuel Rodriguez should be number two in our prospect rankings.

Not big on those types of stats but this is a good group to speculate on. Willi Castro is the one I worry about least. He is utility and is just back from an injury. I think he will be fine. Varland's going to figure out how to stop the meatball express - we have enough pitching coaches that someone should help him because his overall performance is quite good and will get better if not overused. I am more concerned about Jax and Stewart than Varland. These two vets have been a long way from what we saw in the past and we need them for this BP. Move SWR to the BP and make him the long man that they need. 5 RP per game is not sustainable and he has consistently been pulled before he completes 5. Festa or Matthews with SWR ready to come in on short starts to fill multiple innings. Bader has looked great AB and fielding and running. I am really pleased. One thing not measured in stats is attitude and he looks like he is having fun. I think he will have a terrific year (but then predictions are not my forte).

Excellent win - two pitching observations: The Orioles have one of the worst rotations in baseball. They really blew it with all the young talent on the roster - but nice for the Twins If we are going to consistently keep pulling SWR after 4 innings we should move him to the pen and bring up Festa or Matthews. Using 5 BP arms in these games will take a toll against the second half of the season.

I love the victory. My only complaint is the use of Superstar. I don't think we have any Superstars. I think we have stars. Excellent players but the hyperbole for Superstar is something that should be controlled. And that's not to pick on the writer because it's done all over Major League baseball. But if you say Superstar we can picture the ones who really are.

Yes. To me there is no question. He should have already been up and this is just getting silly. It's like last year when we watched walner spend so much time and waste. So many home runs in AAA. I hate this kind of stubborn effort to avoid call-ups. It's not like we have 40 Superstars on our roster.

This is well written, but we have now read this numerous times over the last two months. What will change? What can change? I just can't listen to the small market, limited resources mantra any more. Below us in team payroll - Detroit, KC, Seattle, Milwaukee, Cleveland - I will stop there because all three teams in our division who are ahead of us in the standings have a lower payroll.
