  1. Sorry but I was rooting for KC. They're actually playing for something and I'd love to see another central division team in the playoffs. And I don't care if the twins now guaranteed not to lose 100. They're losing the season and I don't care what the number is. How they keep stubbornly using outman and Gasper and it just shows that they really don't care either. But Falvey wants to look smart so we will keep using whoever he picked up.
  2. I am beyond trying to figure out what is logical for this team. Outman and Gaspar on the team makes no sense. Half the BP makes no sense. Continuing to hope Julien will hit is a waste of time. Forget the crap about service time. A few games left - let some of the potential prospects get their feet wet in MLB. Yes shut down Ober - what are we waiting for. Let him start over in 2026.
  3. To save More money I heard that the team was going to make the bat boy start buying a ticket to the game.
  4. There was a question posed in this essay about whether we will win another game this season. It may have been in jest but do any of us really care if the team wins any more? Does it matter?
  5. Why do the Saints want Noah Davis? I think DFA or just plain cut loose from minor league and everything is appropriate I'm tired of seeing these retreads come up and fail.
  6. The fact that we pick so high and thought these guys would be stars does not give us a lot of satisfaction with the fact that we may get the number to pick this year. What will you do with it and will it work out.
  7. They have established our expectations and the expectations are low and lower.
  8. Please Falvey - I have seen enough of these pitchers - all of them tonight. Give the minor leaguers some experience in MLB and not Davis (18 era), Cabrera, Topa, Adams. Abel and Bradley were your two successes - that is a low bar for success. Abel was too bad to keep up and Bradley has been given a longer chance and has a few good moments, but this is the White Sox. We have lost four straight to the Sox and today we scored 8 runs. Even with this offensive outburst I still think we should give one of our minor league catcher a chance instead of Gaspar (155). And there are certainly better OF than Outman (146). Falvey is just so proud of his acquisitions that he must insist that they are on the team.
  9. It is baseball's problem. Not just the twins. Velocity does not always mean victory. But it seems as if it means injuries look at the list of pitchers the dodgers have on injured list this year and you see some of the best pitchers in the games being shut down. I prefer it when we have pitchers prepared to pitch complete games and relied on guile as well as speed.
  10. Wow we won the first eight innings. Too bad it takes nine and we have to go to the pen. Nice game Zebby.
  11. The Pohlad story from contraction to cut payrolls has been a series of missteps from a family that is supposed to be business wise. You could fool me. This is a deaf ownership and they have made one error after another in public relations. Sure we could lose the Twins, but unfortunately when it happens the population as a whole might say who cares and there is not much us devoted fans can do about it.
  12. When looking at the stats this is not an overwhelming list - only the top two really look like they are ascending. How does Abel rise from AAAA?
  13. Why not? Most of the time we don't keep them their whole service time anyway or we sign them early to an extension. Service time is the last thing I'm concerned about
  14. Have we seen enough? Haven't we got a minor league catcher that can do as well as Hatch. Don't we have a minor league OF that can do as well as Outman. Don't we have any minor league pitchers that can do as well as Hatch? Can't the ball boy do as well as Davis? Does the FO actually watch the games? Why isn't Rocco holding a protest outside the FO doors? Oh well, at least we make the Chisox happy - 5 in a row. Who is the worst team in the AL????
  15. I would love it if you were correct. Griffey, Yount, Trout, and others came up young and were great - the odds are good, but when it works it is wonderful and we need something like that to save a piece of Twins enthusiasm.
  16. I am really disappointed in Ober. I would shut him down and start over next year. I guess we only play well against good competition. Losing 4 straight to Chisox really stinks. I hope we are not thinking Topa will be a stud for the 2026 BP. The article says pinch runners paid off, somehow PR are the least of my hopes for quality BB. Outman and Keirsey should not be on the roster - neither should Clemens or Gaspar. Call up some real prospects. On the pitching side there is a long list that does not belong. Come on Twins - sell some hope, sell the future!
  17. Based on the Twins promotions and actions I do not think Morris is highly regarded by the team as he is by this site. Kalai is a fun story, I do not see him making it as a Twin when I look at the roster and the prospects. The catcher is the one that is exciting and we need a catcher really badly.
  18. Could they have chosen three that more disappoint the fans looking for change and hope?
  19. This is the time for auditions - Fedko, Culpepper - anyone who is at all interesting. No more DFA players, no more players we are going to let go. Try one of our minor league catchers. I don't even care if Lopez pitches this year for the Twins. Does it matter if we have 90 losses instead of 89?
  20. Does anyone believe in Tonkin or anyone in the BP? Nice game Ryan - we need you. With the draft ahead it is hard to know whether to root for a win or a loss. I would keep Wallner in the bottom half of the lineup.
