    I do not see Cartaya or Camargo (IL) coming up soon we have had WInkel in Spring training 279/319/878 in AAA and Cossetti 279/319/878 in AA those the next two in my mind.

    We are now 500. This is like ground zero. We can drop down to the basement or we can pull it together and rise to the top. Which one will it be? Right now the down elevator seems to be waiting. So what can the twins do to right this listing ship.? The rookie starters don't look ready to sustain success at this point. So another question is whether the veteran starters can actually sustain success because they look shaky recently too. I do find that I am confused. By the way, the lineup keeps shuffling. It's almost as if the manager is pulling the names out of a hat. And there is a question of whether Correa is going to earn his exorbitant contract or continue to play at the replacement level that we've seen out there. Castro has many imperfections but put his bat on the bench instead of the lineup and this team will suffer. However, he is the utility player that should be coming off the bench. So the reality is we're lacking the starters we need and have very poor bench options.

    Are we that desperate for a player or a story? Mickey has had enough, just as Bride has. Let's move on and do something significant.

    Is there another 12 game winning streak hidden within the team or are we in 500 limbo or worse? Buxton and Castro and Lee imagine if they had a fourth batter joining them. Hopefully Festa and SWR have settled down and are going to continue to pitch well. Was Paddack overly hyped to pitch at home in Texas? Can Ober offset his aching hip? These are the questions that need to be answered or the season is going downhill quicker than it did last year.

    I love your multiple play and pitcher selection. Nice to get so many good performances. Of course the start of our ranked perspectives did not look so good until #11. Thanks for the summaries.

    It's more than the story of this game having our two rookies struggling. It really hurts to have Ober and Paddock look terrible. Let's hope Ryan can give us a veteran start and get us looking like a 500 team at least. Festa had a better second game so maybe we can all think positive and look for another 12-game winning streak. But in the meantime we have Royce doing what Royce has been doing his entire career- looking great and then going down with an injury. It's really sad. We went through this for so many years with Buxton. What is it with the twins that we have such bad injury luck. I know every team has injuries but boy it seems like we are really plagued with them.

    He is the next one to be cut or DFA'd when Keaschall comes back or we decide to bring up a prospect. Unless we give him a permanent position in the BP.

    I am in shock - Ober might not be an ACE but he has certainly been really good and this year with the injuries depleting the rotation we need him to be above average and he isn't close. What is wrong? Wish I knew. Last year Theilbar stunk and now he is doing great for the Cubs - what did they tweak? What is the needed tweak for Ober? But then there is our pen. When SP sucks the pen is also devastated. Another post seemed to indicated Jax is out right now. What is that all about?

    The movement of Alcala was needed and what we got for him was nothing of value, but then he had little value. Our prospects do not have the cannot miss potential that we might wish. Right now getting Keaschall back is the big thing for the lineup. Unless Bride is going to continue in relief his position should be easily replaceable. Clemens is coming down, but he is a bench player so what are we expecting. Some questions remain - do we extend or lose Paddock, do we keep the carousel turning at 1B, can we replace the $10 million man at backup C, will Lewis produce what we need, is Correa turning a bad corner? Do we have enough pitchers to complete and compete this season? Is Tonkin really an upgrade in the pen? Is Topa reliable? And what would we need, or want in a trade?

    I truly believe it is not the innings that are the issue - it is the frequency. Once warmed up a pitcher should be able to continue unless there is a big inning or delay. I think the K rate is overrated, or perhaps underrated as a factor in the pitcher arm injuries.

    Alcala wore out this fans enthusiasm. I don't care how fast the ball moves if he is going to have so many implosions. I hope he finds success and even if he does I am glad we are moving on. The weakness in today's pitching is the total dependence on BP arms. No one can pitch 162 games and with 5 inning starters we have to have 4 one inning arms per game. It might now sound like a lot to pitch one inning, but put in all the warm up tosses and the max effort and you have tired arms that look good one year and terrible the next. Look at Thielbar now 0.7 WAR and 1.85 ERA. "Looking back on the 2024 MLB season, an interesting note has been made about the entire league which seems to have raised a few eyebrows. There were only a total of 28 complete games in the 2024 MLB season making that a record low since the year 1975" 1999 was the last year that the leader in complete games in the National League was in double figures - Randy Johnson. It was s2011 when James Shields had 11 in the American League. Since then the leader in each league averaged 2 per year.

    As someone dealing with a wrist sprain that seems to get worse instead of better as I wait for it to heal I understand how much time these things take. Especially in joints that get lots of movement even when we don't think we are moving them. This is sad - Festa and SWR have hopefully gotten their one allowed horrible game out of the way and settle down or Lopez and Mathews coming back at the end of the season won't matter. And I need to add that Ober better get back to what we expect of him.

    I am not a fan of Cartaya. Diaw is too young and still has some proving to do.

    Where is Cosetti in the Catcher ranks? I will remain puzzled by the Adams demotion and the flailing arm of Alcala in the majors. Something is wrong here.

    Breathe taking! So the first game back routine started by Festa is now a regular event.

    Nicely done - good choices. It might be heresy, but Liriano 2006 pushes Santana (close) but Santana wins.

    He has sustained a replacement level performance in the majors and that is all we really need from him. I do not think he was in AAA long enough to learn what is needed and his last appearance was not a confidence booster. If he fails again, Morris seems next in line.

    Wait and see - he has hit well. If he is slowing down it could just be a small slump - who really knows. But when Keaschall returns or Eeles come up he would seem to be next in line.

    The only thing I care about is who is next to be called up if we have a problem with the current five. When you write Soto is a long way off I roll my eyes and think, injuries, lack of progression - so many issues possible. Prielipp looks like a BP fix soon, Morris is interesting and must be the next rotation filler. But the way shoulders and elbows are going that it not enough.

    I know - you are the second one to want to burst my bubble - but I am hanging on to hope.

    You have to be given a chance to shine when you are 21 - Eeles had to struggle to get signed and to get recognition. I still like the comp - even if it is just based on being short.

    After SWR who is next? If Festa or SWR falters, if another injury do we still have pitching depth? Sending down Adams seemed strange. With this rotation having a multi-inning options seems like a good idea.
