  1. He wasn't falling to 31, so slot $ for 31 is irrelevant. Teams boards are what is relevant, not media rankings, which are fun, but meaningless.
  2. If we want home field advantage, we're going to need some sweeps of awful teams along the way. I'll never be disappointed winning a series, but KC is awful, I'm expecting a sweep.
  3. I'd have to research if he's made some significant adjustments, or if it's just small sample size variance, because he's never been even close to this good before. If it is something sustainable, I'd be very interested.
  4. The Mets are below .500, and are exactly as close to the 2nd worse team in the NL as they are to the second wild card. Of course, there's always a chance they go on a hot streak, but most likely they're clear sellers come trade deadline.
  5. Minimum 1% in one or more of 4 approved polls, OR a minimum number of unique donors, from a minimum number of states, can't remember the exact numbers.
  6. Sorry, missed that qualifier then. I'd guess you are correct then. Men tend to inflate their actual achievements.
  7. I don't know how to break this to you, but man + woman isn't the only possible combination of partnership.
  8. Also, we're 17 months from election day. Those poll results are meaningless even if they are accurate.
  9. Throwing in Tyler Jay would have zero impact in a trade for a good player.
  10. Even 2 in the top ten is strong, especially when one of them is top 10 overall.
  11. I agree. I was simply responding to a poster saying the 2017 class doesn't look good.
  12. I guess I'd have to ask how many of these players that Houston is bringing up were acquired since October 2016. Falvine's first draft picks haven't even been in the system 2 years yet, but I think we have a lot of good prospects that are right around the corner (hopefully).
  13. Our farm system is catastrophically overrated if our 2017 draft doesn't stand up, as 3 of our top 9 prospects are from that draft class.
  14. They already had him for this year though. And this new deal gives him almost 2 million MORE this year, fully guaranteed, and guarantees almost 8 million next year to injury. This extension doesn't help the team in the short term, they, unlike us, clearly value Rudolph long term. I don't get it.
  15. ProFootballTalk - NBC Sports: Kyle Rudolph's new deal makes it easier for Vikings to keep him around. https://profootballtalk-nbcsports-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/06/11/kyle-rudolphs-new-deal-makes-it-easier-for-vikings-to-keep-him-around/amp/
  16. I don't think any of those guys you listed were ever considered untouchable, except Buxton and Sano. Buxton is on his way to an 8+ bWAR season at the MLB level. He has far more trade value right now than he ever had as a prospect. It's quite amazing to me that people haven't noticed the season he is having.
  17. If they aren't as good as Kimbrel, we wouldn't need to give up top prospects. Also, trade capital is one of the reasons to have a deep farm system. There is no shame in using them to improve your ballclub.
  18. The CNN article doesn't say they are false, CNN is just quoting the National Police. It's also a vague quote. It could be a translation issue, but they don't explicitly deny that either of the shooters were police officers. "Our Institution" could mean that the officers were not representing the agency. It could also mean that they are former police officers. Everyone should be skeptical, until we get more facts, I totally agree. I'm just passing along what one media outlet is reporting, not endorsing it as fact.
  19. 4/36 for Rudolph. Makes him the 4th highest paid TE in the league, behind Graham, Reed and Kelce.
  20. I think this is understood though. I think generally the term floor means a player's most likely minimum profile if they actually make it to MLB, not their ABSOLUTE lowest possible profile.
  21. Yeah, it's incredibly bizarre. But, there is no news story bizarre enough to be out of the reach of human capacity. FWIW, the Daily Mail is citing 3 separate sources within Dominican law enforcement, and several mainstream media outlets seem to be comfortable citing the Daily Mail report, including NBC Sports.
