Brock Stewart Dominating the Path Less Traveled
LambchoP replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
He could be a closer on any other team. I'd like to see him in the 8th inning more rather than Jax or Theilbar though. If Varland gets put back in the pen we just may have the best bullpen in the game...- 20 replies

Keirsey jr is starting to look like he could be an option for a 4th outfielder type to cover for injury or replace Margot if he never gets going. I also liked what we saw from Martin as well though. Hopefully Festa continues to get more consistent and could maybe help us out down the stretch in the BP or even the number 5 starter spot...

I agree, have Topa pitch a few times in St Paul to see how he's looking before calling him up. Also, anyone know how Alcala's been lately? He was looking pretty good before being sent down. Overall, bullpen looks solid. Now if we could just get a solid, needle moving starter at the trade deadline:)

Caleb Thielbar Has a New Arsenal
LambchoP replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I'm just glad Duran is coming back because Theilbar and Okert have no business closing out close games. Maybe Stewart and Jax, but nobody else. I hope they don't send down Funderburk because he's been our best lefty...- 19 replies

They really need to start stretching out Festa and Raya more than 2-3 innings if they are eventually going to be starters still. They also need to get the walks under control, but that's pretty common at these levels.

Will be interesting to see if they finally let Festa pitch past the third or fourth inning on Tuesday...

Not sure what roster moves are coming in order to activate Duran dnd Topa. I also think Alcala should get called up as well, but I think sending Funderburk down is a mistake. He has been our best lefty so far...

Checking Back in on Chris Paddack
LambchoP replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I agree, if he can locate dnd execute a third pitch I think he'll be ok. Let's just hope for perfect starter health the rest of the way, because if any of Pablo, Ryan, Ober or Paddack go down.... we're truly screwed. What are the chances we pick up an impact starter at the trade deadline? -
I still don't like Rocco sitting out best hitters, especially if it means putting Farmer and Margot out there for most of the night...

Miguel Sanó Finding Second Life in Los Angeles
LambchoP replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Remember when he was going to be the Twin's 300 pound right fielder that one year lol?! -
I'm also curious as to what the twins will do when Duran and Topa will be available. I also think Alcala should be getting innings in the majors, but who do you send down. Someone mentioned Funderburk but I think that'd be a huge mistake. He's been our best lefty.

I don't think there's any reason that Farmer should be starting over Miranda right now....let's see what Miranda can do until Lewis comes back.

A little worrisome that Duran was topping out at "only" 99. Then again it was his very first rehab appearance... When will we see Canterino back, I think he could be a real bullpen weapon if he could ever stay healthy

I just will never understand pulling one of our only good hitters in Kiriloff to have Margot hit for him, a guy hitting under .200. Also, why on earth would they have Farmer, who is hitting under ,100, starting over Miranda, who has looked good this year. Also Martin has looked good and needs to be playing everyday. So what does Rocco do? Sit him....

Cole Sands Has Been Weirdly Good
LambchoP replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Will be interesting to see if he can sustain this early success. If so he could be another diamond in the rough type, like Brock Stewart last year. -
I also think these guys need to be playing everyday either at MLB or milb level. Have Martin starting, and have Margot be his backup rather than the other way around. Then I'd give Varland maybe three more starts. If he doesn't show anything by then, move him to the pen, where he could be a solid weapon throwing 100,mph, and stick SWR in as starter number 5.

It really looks like Alcala should not have been the one sent down when Theilbar was activated. He's looked better than he has in years. Festa seems to be doing well, but they really need to stretch him out to see if he's going to have enough endurance to really stick as a starter, which the Twins are desperate for...

Twins Minor League Week in Review and Roster Rundown
LambchoP replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
Where is Matt Canterino? I know he's hurt, but when he comes back they should just keep him in the BP. He could be a good weapon for the Twins this summer as s set up man if they can get him healthy....- 16 replies
