Julien hit his first offering at AAA over the fence 🇨🇦

Two decades of futility against the Bronx Bombers. Doesn’t matter who is on the team, who is managing the team, who is in the front office.

"We just have to do a better job at-bat wise than what we did today." #MNTwins manager Rocco Baldelli after the 5-1 loss to the Yankees 36 innings and 2 runs against the Yanks in 2024.

    Think Castillo took that spot.

Raya only pitching 3.1 innings per. Anyone know why?

Kepler and Correa with the only hits today. Wake up offense!

Twins performing at about expectation. Although my blood pressure could do without the extreme highs and low. KC and Cle have to regress to mean at some point, right? How long can they keep winning at a .600 clip?

The rest of the league has read this article and the Twins haven't seen it? Aaron Gleeman called this out in late April (link below). Can someone show this to Rocco, Popkins, Falvine etc? Rocco postgame - “The guy just stood out there and threw off speed pitches for like four straight innings, and we didn't do anything about it,” Baldelli said. “We continued to kind of wave at them and look for fastballs, which today, weren't coming. In this stretch of games where we've been struggling, that's been a common theme. We're going up there swinging big, and swinging big is not getting it done right now, because we're swinging like they're throwing all fastballs and they don't throw us very many fastballs.” https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5435914/2024/04/23/twins-hitters-off-speed-struggles/

Their margin for error is high with the early success (same for Royals). We are using ours up with crappy offensive play. Have to play nearly perfect for the rest of the season to reach the playoffs this year.

Hard to get too mad at the bullpen when the lineup is putting up at bats like this.

Bullpen and batters playing like it’s April again #regression

Where oh where has the offense gone?

Saw the first game against the Dodgers and it was a good atmosphere. Hotdogs always taste better at the ballpark. Benefitted from the upper decks being closed and had some decent seats. Looking forward to my next game.

Just like Gallo last year 👎🏻

Heard on Gleeman and the Geek that the Twins are seeing the fewest fast balls in MLB. The league has adjusted to them being one of the top FB hitting teams. They need to adjust to the off speed garbage they are seeing.

Been trying to stay optimistic about this team throughout ST. They don’t look good at hitting, pitching, fielding. Hard to believe the regular season will automatically make everything better.
  22. thelanges5
MAT seems like a no-brainer at this point. Get it done!
  23. thelanges5
    Isn’t Gordon out of options!

Add this signing to the Polo trade. Hopefully the Bally deal will allow at least one more move. 😀
  25. thelanges5
How about Duvall and Lorenzen with our "surplus" from the Polanco deal? I would consider anything done with that $$ to be part of the trade. We'd likely still be in the $125-130 mil range.
