    We deserve something for sitting through the worst month's ERA in team history... (anyone using any variation of "pitching pipeline" as anything other than mockery will be executed at sunrise!) Personally, I'd be happy with actual effort through the entire lineup! Probably be disappointed on that count 24 out of 25 games with this bunch...

    One quibble... If you think this team is "as poor as possible" with the glove , how did you grade the Twins for last season's second half? It can get worse... much, much worse - one word "Julien"!

    Same score as if the literally didn't show up! Forfeit line: MIL 111 111 111 900 MIN 000 000 000 000 Would've been just as well off (and statistically better) if the entire team got lost on the way to work (or whatever you call what they are doing to merit their paycheck)...

    Agree wholeheartedly with the first sentence. The cupboard is otherwise bare in terms of entertainment or effectiveness. (Sorry Joe Ryan... but you'll live and possibly thrive) The second? Not sure how it gets uglier (no pitching at all, no defense, no fundamentals anywhere, and just enough erratic scoring to pull out a game to prevent an embarrassing sweep), and surely don't want to see it if it does!

    C'mon!!!! Everyone knew coming into the season that any combo of Julien, Miranda and Kirilloff would be better than this dumpster signing! Everyone!!!! Never mind that none had any experience at 1B. Never mind that 2 of the 3 have yet to display any defensive awareness at their natural positions. Nor anything approaching "defensive versatility". Ignore that one is actually retired. Now we have this cheapo signing making every Twins produced product look bad by being "clutch" when most Twins reaction to the word "clutch" is a mumble about "I have an automatic..." Horrible signing, getting worse with every game winning hit and 1B scoop he performs!!

    Figure close to 3 hours for the game, and another half hour pre/post game. Unless you want to hear Trevor Ploufe's story about the fattest slump buster he ever saw (I know I want it, but...), you've got to fill that time with something!

    So, a team's 3rd or 4th pick to start at 2B or 3B (Julien, Lee, Castro at2b entering the season all get the call before Clemens- even if he was on the roster) (Lewis, Miranda and Lee at least at 3b) not being a "replacement level" might be the dumbest "take" on this site! How are other teams' (projected)AA starters producing at the MLB level??? There is a legitimate comparison. Clemens has held the fort, and then some.. I'll gladly take another Clemens start before more Cody-clickbait.

    C'mon... Let me paraphrase the replies when I have recently mentioned Jax after some of his disappointing outings. Take away just a few bad outings , and Griffin Jax is elite. In fact he is elite, period. His start of the season was an aberration. His stuff is elite, ergo he is elite (repeated ad infinitum).

    You haven't got the message? There is now one official way to skin the cat. And it means HOFer Boggs sucked because he didn't homer or K enough. Gold Glove be damned! Batting titles are for old fogies, and idiots. Personally, I ignored said memo and regularly cite him as an example of the idiocy of reliance on analytics. How many of his "Boggs hole" singles would have never made it to the outfield wall if left alone??? He didn't care if it was a bullet or a dying quail as long as it hit the field before leather.
