    I so agree. That said, there have been some decisions made that I swore were wrong but are bearing fruit. Kepler is playing well. I thought he was done, although I still think they should have dealt him at the deadline given his somewhat increased value (temporary?) I just think the young guys are the ones we need to run with. And...Pagan...I'm speechless that this guy has been so effective.

    I love Polanco and he has been great for the Twins. That said, professional sports is a harsh business. We are seeing diminishing performance from Jorge which statistics say will accelerate. The Twins need to make room for all their youngsters who are performing. I've heard folks advocate moving Kirilloff back to the outfield...which isn't a bad idea; however, I think first base might be the best position for Julien.

    I agree, that was a very nice play by Royce at 3rd base. I think Solano did a fine job making the catch and keeping his foot on the bag at 1st. Solano was a really smart pick up this spring training. Who knew? The guy can flat out hit.

    I pretty much agree with this. Honestly, I was pretty happy at last years trade deadline. I thought the moves they made looked good. We all know they were disastrous. In my defense, I'm neither a GM nor a talent scout; consequently, Falvine are accountable for those moves regardless of how they looked at the time. And I never understood picking up Gallo which seemed(s) like a substitution for another failed slugger...Sano. My biggest beef with the organization is how they managed to allow Buxton to turn from an obvious 5 tool player into a mostly one dimensional player when healthy. To me, this is an organizational failure. It may be irrelevant since Buck can't stay healthy. That makes me sad.

    I agree with your thoughts at the top of the house. That said, under all circumstances, I would fire Rocco. His game management is entirely perplexing to me. Additionally, great managers bring out performance greater than you would expect. This team has underperformed...what does that make Rocco?

    making an analogy to an event from 36 years ago might not be relevant. So much has changed in baseball since that time.

    Maybe trade one of the starters, but not both. And more importantly, they need to break the logjam in the outfield. Kepler should have some value now. He has really stepped up; but I believe that you should buy low and sell high.

    He's not going to be the next Arraez which is perfectly fine. His run production is what matters and he is tracking very nicely.

    Larnach alone will not get Hader.

    Isn't Kepler in the last year of his contract with an option for one more? If yes, I think the Twins might be willing to move him now. Especially as Wallner is starting look pretty good.

    I would definitely keep Wallner and Kirilloff. While Kepler has been hitting well the past several weeks, the idea is to sell high and buy low. Kepler is on a high which should have boosted his stock from nothing to something. I think we could get a solid relief pitcher for him and they should do it. We all know how Kepler is a streaky hitter. His current hot streak will pass and his value will go back to zero. And I can't imagine a market for Gallo. DFA.

    I think the jury is still out on Larnach; although I remain hopeful. I do not see Polanco back with all the young infield talent within the organization. Polanco has been great but there is so much evidence that his performance and health curves are pointed downwards.

    I have to acknowledge that I sincerely thought Kepler and Maeda were done. I am so glad to be wrong. Also, there is no denying how well Pagan has pitched for some time now. That said, I admit he still makes me nervous. With Kepler hitting well, the Twins now have options. They can, of course, keep him. Or his trade value should be higher and perhaps add a piece to the bullpen. Either way, his current surge is nice to see.

    Dump them both. As it is, you wouldn't want either starting, so why hold down the youth behind them? I can see Kepler as a 4th outfielder, but I'd rather have the young guys.

    True comment, but Torii is a poor comparison as he carried a gold glove. Miranda assuredly does not. Torii's issue was consistent hitting.

    I'm a big fan of Polanco's. I think with the depth and backlog of youth, the Twins can trade Polanco from a position of strength and gain a valuable piece; whereas Kepler is untradeable. The Twins should be erring on the side of enabling their youth.

    I can't fathom any team trading for Kepler. Perhaps take a flier on him after he is released. Launch Kepler...NOW! I know, I'm shouting, sorry.

    I agree, the Twins should go outside of the organization for a proven reliever. I also firmly believe they should make internal moves with their lineup; and like most everyone, it should start with releasing Kepler.

    Unless the Twins can get quality bullpen assistance, then I also don't think a trade is necessary. I agree that it is time to give the youth in this organization a shot; especially Wallner & Julien. I do not understand why the Twins are hanging onto Kepler. There is a mountain of evidence that his current hitting is his norm. There isn't that much left on his contract; let him go! Gallo is not the lost cause that Kepler is; however, I think the Twins need to strike out less and hit for better average which has to improve their troubles with RISP. With that in mind, they should probably move on from Gallo.

    I saw that quote too. And I agree that Lewis will be recalled when he is eligible to come off of the 60 day dl. The Twins might need Miranda after the injuries yesterday, but that is short term. His fielding is not acceptable at the major league level. Unless AK is a bust (which I happily doubt), Miranda doesn't have a position to play. Maybe a utility 1st base/DH option. The Twins have a good problem with the fine young infielders. Oh, and for the love of shaboom, please dump Pagan. I know, I know...off topic!

    I think you left Royce Lewis out of the equation. I like Royce and Farmer holding down 3rd base as well as backing up Polanco and Correa. Let's get Buxton platooning in CF with Taylor and part time DH.

    I do feel those two guys have helped ignite the offense. At the end of the day, Correa and Buxton are the most critical hitters. AK could be the 3rd guy. I think/hope the end of May or beginning of June will see Buxton in a CF platoon. That will stretch the plate appearances for (hopefully) Royce Lewis and Farmer who I suspect will be job sharing 3rd as well as other infield positions.

    I agree with your comments as well as the original ones...and my gut reaction to sending down Miranda was...are you crazy? But his negative defense and mediocre offense are reasons to not play. Miranda has good upside and needs to play. Send him to St. Paul and let him find his batting stroke and improve his fielding.
