    I was curious to see if/how draft picks were improving. Here is the basic stats for just the last 2 drafts as of Aug 26th

    I think the problem with his bat is if he is needed for 3-4 ABs in a game. I like him as a pinch hitter/defensive replacement.

    If I am a betting man Paddock is not going to be back. they will give him the offseason to make sure he is good. With Kuechel there is 0 point to bring another starter to the pen (Ober/Meada probably end up there as well). Buxton needs to be able to get into the field though, that is a must, otherwise, keep him on IL and bring up Martin.

    Everyone knows that if Rocco is gone Pohlads will have gardenhire coach. He coaches his tail off.

    Why would you trade one of the only hitters that is performing? Leaving Gallo in there does nothing. Move AK to LF.

    Gallo was traded last year, with similar money involved, I believe. I think somebody could be interested at the right price. We aren't going to get a lot unless we eat some of the money. It is a possibility though.

    The problem is, Farmer, Solano and Castro. They have all played into the lineup. They need to trade Gallo and Kepler if they are keeping both.

    I dont think i touch the starting pitching. What I would consider is a trade for Soto and another for Goldschmidt. Dont know if either of those are available. Maybe include Gallo/Kepler.

    This is exactly the time. It isn't Rocco, who we could discuss deserving firing, but hitting isn't there. They need to do something. Not addressing it will mean 0-22 in POs

    He couldn't be worse than Kepler, plus he isn't going to get better with AAA pitching.

    I don't think CES will reach Baltimore as he was traded to Cincinnati

    He was absolutely awful for most of last year. Over the last month and a half or so (from what i heard) he stopped using a pitch. I don't remember which. During that time, he had very good numbers. Look at this year now 1 ER over 5.2 innings, 1 BB and 4 K, 1.69 ERA. If he keeps this up, he is back, and we have 6 guys who can lock it down.

    Another rule that needs to change is, if your SP (othani) is hitting, and you remove them from the game, it needs to be pitchers hitting in that spot afterwards.

    Kepler would have been a nice one to predict.

    Why not just take a Bailey Ober for #5?

    Nothing HAS to happen. The younger guys have options. I don't know that the FO over valued Kep. I do believe some fans/writers overvalued him. But this could just be posturing as well. If they have a team that is interested in him but won't meet your "demands" in a trade. You say you are keeping and see how desperate they are.

    Correct. It should be a big belief. The Astros played small ball, base stealing, Hit and run, Bunt etc. Obviously they didn't have the health issues. But they can't just ignore that part of game.

    Kind of like a better (offensive) Romine? I think that is the guy that play 9 positions a couple years ago. I see all the stolen bases and feel like that plays in the majors. If only Rocco would allow it, or do you think that was more of a shift issue, as to why he didnt have them play that game?

    Can anyone tell me anything about Helman? I know he isn't high on the prospect list but is on top 30. He is at AAA and looks like he could be a good utility. What is holding him up, Farmer/Gordon?

    So far what we saw from lewis was that he can make up for loss average wise but I believe all three would be more power by a mile. Even if they hit .280 -.290 I would be happy.

    You can watch and tell that he has no range or instinct. He didn't commit errors but he didn't do anything but the bare minimum out there. He is a light hitting DH

    Joe and Rod had a position. Arreaz doesn't really pay any position great.

    The Twins were winning the division by a mile until the injuries stacked too high. If Correa does end up here you would think that could continue. Are they a WS contender with Correa, my guesses are not yet, but they are not boring...IMO.

    I agree but over a (very) small sample size, he looked good last year.

    If he moves to third, that makes miranda a 1B (probably his better position), then the question is Arreaz. Arraez can play 1B, but I really don't think he is great there either. This could all happen when Lewis is back (with the hypothetical signing of Correa).
