    I don't understand how people could be pissed about last deadline and then they are like, yes let's sell off more.

    I feel like he was a little slow to start this year (as was Culpepper). Last year his games at AAA were rough so if they think he is ready fine but I am also ok with him getting a little more experience against major league ready talent.

    They went backwards to strengthen farm. I don't see any reason to trade him. They have a good start. They need to get starters healthy but I don't see why you would trade him.

    He was. The problem is he doesn't throw hard enough, with the ABS. He has to be around the plate and he can't.

    I could be wrong, but I don't believe 68 yr old Jose Barrios drove in the first run in the 2nd inning.

    Griffin Jax has entered the chat. Varland and Duran should be by at anytime.

    Rojas needs to be up and given a longer look. He wasn't great in his only appearance but wasn't bad either. Morris has been pretty good in the first innings (each game) he has pitched. Why not reduce the innings he goes out for a bit. Klein looked good (didn't even realize he was brought up). Festa is about ready. Adams was activated (AAA) even Matthews can be in the pen. We don't need to keep sending out Garcia, Topa, Sands, Banda. Heck SWR has been bad as a starter this year. He could be long relief. Laweryson has been good minus the 2nd inning he came out for in his first outing, get him healthy. There are options that I think make the team better.

    One pitcher is out for the year. Everything has not gone wrong. I don't disagree though. I just think you/Twins aren't just going to cut guys like Ober and SWR. Heck it is possible SWR ends up in the pen.

    If Abel is pitching game 2, a lot more things went wrong. I am not saying he shouldn't be a starter but he does have options and was BAD last year. So, moving him along a little slower wouldn't be the worst. Ober, and SWR have shown in the past that they are capable, also no options. You don't just cut them. If Zebby is a starter he is ahead of Abel as well. So, it is one position for Bradley and Abel.

    Why would you go straight to Houston though? Bring Culpepper up he currently has a better bat. Why would you want to play a lot of guys hitting under .220?

    If I have said it once, I have said it a million times, Zebby has the mentality and stuff to be a very good closer. Or at a minimum a very good setup pitcher.

    Ohl as a starter has a 16.88 ERA, as a reliever 2.45 ERA. Not to mention the last 6 outings he gave up 0 runs against teams like Yankees (2X), Indians, Rangers, Phillies (2 innings).

    Typically, the pen (if you have good stuff) leads to lower era for "failed" starters. Also, he mostly started but didn't normally go 5+ innings so it would be no different than an opener. I will bring it back to Adams last year, when he was going over 2 innings, he started giving up more hits and runs. If he can be limited per outing, I think you will see better numbers. ERA per inning 1st inning 3.13 ERA 2nd inning 4.70 ERA 3rd inning 4.65 ERA 4th inning 5.06 ERA 5th inning 3 ERA 6th inning 0 ERA 7th inning 0 ERA 8th inning 0 ERA 9th inning 54,55 ERA Now if you look at first inning of work 3.09 ERA, second IOW 4.5 ERA, third IOW 4.42 ERA and fourth IOW 6.55 ERA. I don't think you can take the high ERA in the 9th as he can't close games, as he was going into his 3rd(4th) inning of work. Quite the word salad to say overall he has been pretty good in 1 inning of work in the minors.

    Prielipp, Raya, Bradley Abel Matthews Festa, Ohl Adams, Rojas, Morris. It would be no different then when Jax or Duran were brought up. I understand some of these, if not all, are starters but they will be fighting for 1 spot. I truly think Matthews would be one heck of a closer. Prielipp could be Jax or Duran, not sure yet, but I do believe he has good stuff as well.

    The Twins have a lot of talent for the pen at AAA. I don't think they need to sign any big names.

    Do writers for twins daily realize they can't "speak" trades or position changes into existence? Two years ago it was Varland as a starter, last year it was Jax as a starter, now they are trying to trade Lewis, when there has been no indication they are even considering it.

    Agreed with Matthews. I like him as a starter but he does appear to be someone who has the stuff and attitude to be a closer. Priellipp could be 1-2 punch with Zebby
