    Just read that CC's mri showed a "full thickness tear of the central cortex of his plantar facia" This is from Betsy Helfand of the Pioneer Press. Apparently, this is a good thing as it might alleviate the discomfort he's feeling in the foot. I sure hope he's back for the playoffs.

    Yep...I just turned on the game and saw that CC got put on the 10 day IL. Not great news at all. I had already voted yes, but the IL stint probably means he's done until the playoffs.

    I think CC will play again before the end of the season. I believe his mentality is to play hurt, unless he has a bone sticking out somewhere. The foot has to be affecting his hitting, which probably won't change until he's has a full off season to rest it, but his defense has been superb all along, which is extremely important. We may need him in the field more than at the plate.

    If Lewis goes down, we could be in deep doo doo.

    That Great American Ballpark is definitely a very nice place. Light years better than Riverfront Stadium. All those cookie-cutter parks were terrible. You're right, they have a good young team and they're in the race. They should be drawing a lot better than they do.

    The crowd (or lack, thereof) in Cincy, makes the crowds in Tampa look like a full house! C'mon Cincy...support your team!

    We just have a strong tendency to come up empty against these rookie/marginal pitchers. Real flat. Ryan was very shaky and looks kind of lost out there at times. I think he hit the wall for this season. I don't know if I'd trust him going forward in the playoffs. Keuchel is pitching his way off the post season roster, and I'm ok with that. Might as well sit CC the rest of the way and hope his foot improves. It's REALLY nice to have MAT back. Awesome catch last night! Lewis makes this team go, but he can't do it all by himself...other guys have to step up.

    I had my "widow-maker" heart attack on the morning of Oct 8, 2004. There had to be a correlation between that, and the series with the evil empire. I survived, but the Twins didn't. I want to be around to see another WS trophy.
