  1. Sign Rhys Hoskins. Forget about moving Polo to 1B. Trade/package him in a deal to Sea for pitching.
  2. I really can't see either one of these deals taking place. Goldy had a pretty significant drop off last season too. He's definitely coming to the end in a year or two. Would I like to have Alonso mashing in the middle of the Twins lineup? Hell, yeah...but it's not going to happen. It's nice to dream though.
  3. I saw this yesterday and had a pretty good laugh. They're probably going to have a tough time moving him unless they eat some of that contract. Not exactly a great way to save payroll, if you ask me.
  4. His trade value is never going to be higher than it is now. It's time to move him.
  5. They should've kept Montgomery and Flaherty. Especially Monty. Mozy is a terrible GM. The staff is decimated because of his decisions. Sure you can trot out Lynn and Gibson every time it's their turn, because they're pretty durable, but that's it. Right now, they have Mikolas, Matz, Lynn, and Gibson as their starters. That's not going to scare anybody. They don't really have anyone at AAA either. Liberatore hasn't shown that he's ready to be in the rotation. They could be in for another rough season.
  6. One of my best friends from H.S, is a big time Stl Cards fan, and has been for the over 50 years I've known him. I just talked to him and he's going out of his mind right now wondering wtf Mozeliak is doing down there.
  7. I don't know what was going on with him last season...he was brutal, but if the trade price was right, I'd sure give him a shot.

  9. I think you got it on all three. Nice job!
  10. Anywhere but here is fine with me.
  11. The Braves wanted Nola, but they could be pivoting to Gray real fast now.
  12. Absolutely hate the evil empire, but I really like Rowson. I wish him the best of luck there.
  13. Sure...why not? Even Sano was more productive than Gallo. Yep, Gallo was pretty good defensively, but that's where it ends. By all accounts, the FO is looking to save money. That puts Severino in the equation.
  14. A few years ago, I would've liked to have seen this happen. Not now. I'd pass on Turner.
  15. I don't think any of these guys are a particularly good FA to go after.
  16. I'd pass on Giolito, but he's the kind of guy that this FO would take a shot at. The pitcher I'd really like to land is Snell.
  17. Detroit is the team that I'd be concerned about. They're definitely improving.
  18. Agree. He must love the sound of his own voice, because he never stops talking. Just one cliche after another. Barely talks about what actually is happening in the game, like a PBP guy should. I wish some other organization would "steal" him from us.
  19. Figure out what entity is going to actually broadcast the games first. Then decide on who is going to be the PBP person. I hope it's Provus, but we'll see. At least hire someone with baseball PBP experience. I like Marney, and she's great at what she does...however, I don't think it would be the right move to have her take over that job. One of the minor league PBP guys would be a better choice, if it's not Provus.
  20. Really enjoyed him playing with the Twins. Would love to see him become a coach here.
  21. I also was wondering if he was "assisted" by the Twins in his decision to leave the booth. I do hope he had the final say and that he's happy with the move.
  22. He's got all the tools and I think he'll improve across the board. I mainly just want him to put all the injuries behind him and have a full healthy season.
