  1. Only one problem here...the Twins piggy bank is made of an impenetrable substance. No money, no players.
  2. The Toronto Blue Jays hired Popkins as their hitting coach. Hmmn...very interesting, but________.
  3. For some reason, I've always thought that Larnach was a guy who should/could be switched over to 1B. Now would be the perfect time to give it a try.
  4. I don't think there's any doubt that the Twins are a more attractive buy....now let's hope we find a buyer that wants to prioritize the team and get to the next level!
  5. If you google "sailing the ship without a rudder"...it brings up info about the Pohlads. Now...how did that happen?
  6. I do think that they're going to try and sell the team, but trying to find a buyer and actually selling is another story.
  7. Clean up the books? Seems to me, that trading away some of your best assets isn't the right way to make the franchise attractive to a potential buyer.
  8. It's impossible to know if this is a good move or not...yet They probably need to change the philosophy for the entire organization. I hope he knows what the heck he's doing, and I wish him the very best of luck.
  9. To tell you the truth...I don't want Santana back, or signing Goldy.
  10. I'd "encourage" Dazzle to ride off into the sunset of retirement on his Harley, and send Atteberry back to calling T-Ball games where he belongs.
  11. I agree with a few of the previous statements...the only thing good about the Pohlad's is...they aren't anywhere near as bad as Calvin Griffith.
  12. I mentioned Bezos and Cuban in the other thread, and got a bunch of thumbs down. I'd take Cuban as the next owner in a heartbeat.
  13. Didn't think I'd live to see even the possibility of this happening...and I still might not, but I LOVE the idea of different ownership. Sure, we could get someone/some group the same or worse, but we could get someone much better and who actually cares about winning, as well as the profits. Put a better product on the field and that will put fans in the seats. Change can be very good!
  14. I'd actually PREFER it to be someone from outside of Mn. I was just pointing out that there isn't anyone here who could do it. I have zero concerns about the team moving. None.
  15. If this isn't some kind of smoke-screen...it has to be a person, or group, from outside of Mn. There's nobody locally with that kind of moolah to buy the Twins.
  16. Nah...even if it was a good idea...which it isn't...they'd screw it up anyway.
  17. Sounds good so far, but lets all hope the devil isn't in the details. I'm not counting on anything just yet.
  18. Good article Nick, but how did you get it down to 10? There's probably more than 10 games where we got "Rocco'd"!
  19. BLASPHEMY! How dare you accuse the Pohlad's of being greedy and not wanting to spend more of their hard earned money on the team! Haven't they always proven their commitment to the team, and willingness to spend wads of cash? Oh wait...my bad. Never mind.
  20. Ownership and FO will continue to scream poverty...and we make a handful of nothing burger moves. I don't see them doing much of anything, and we get a whole lot of the same middle of the road team next season.
