    I'm sure he means Popkins. If they fire Maki, then we REALLY could have a problem. I agree...firing Popkins is the most logical thing to do, even though at this point, it may not accomplish much. It's kind of a token move, but it would probably be a good thing to have a different voice and someone with a different approach in there. They would hire someone from within, no doubt. That's the Twins way. If things remain the same as they are now, we're dead.

    Dick just gave a stat that the Twins have scored 3 runs or less in 44 games this season. That's laughable.

    Yeah...I guess I spoke too soon. 3 wasn't happening, 4 wasn't happening, and there's no way that 8 is happening. This team is embarrassing. They're letting Kyle Gibson come back in here and make us look like garbage. That's really depressing.

    Julien is a work in progress with his glove, but his bat needs to stay in the lineup.

    It's a bit too early to give up on Miranda. Give him a little more time, and he could turn it around. The whole damn team isn't hitting, so it's not like he's all by himself. I don't think his bat is as big an issue as his glove is.

    For the hell of it...I consulted the Magic 8 Ball this morning, and asked if we would score more than 2 runs today. I shook it a little bit and the response I got was "Sure...and I also want to talk to you about some ocean front property in Arizona". That can't be right...can it?

    A decent bat would be very nice, but Turner doesn't excite me at all, and no way do I want Pham here. I really don't know who they should go after on that front. For RP's, Harvey and Leiter are interesting possibilities.

    Looks like the same old story...great pitching, and zero hitting. That lineup definitely left a lot to be desired. Not exactly a murderer's row, by any means. Wasted a great start by Ober...again. Somehow, they have to figure out how to score more than 1 or 2 runs consistantly,..and do it against teams other than KC. Duran is also a concern lately...he's struggling a bit.

    Ober's pitching another very nice game...and we're not helping him out at all. Only 2 hits. The bats are asleep again.

    I'll just listen to Cory and Dazzle. I don't want to get Apple TV, even if it means watching the games. I just was wondering why we seem to be on there so much.

    Sure seems like we're on this Apple tv more than we should be. Like every other Friday. Why is that?

    He looks like he's lost whatever confidence he might have had previously. I also think he might be taking his defensive problems to the plate with him. Some guys can separate the two aspects, and maybe he can't yet. Whatever the case is, I hope he can get back to where he was last season.

    Just heard Bremer say that the Pads DFA'd Nelson Cruz.

    There was a DQ in Apple Valley Mn, which is just north of my location, that we used to go to a lot. I say was, because the place closed! Super busy place, so it wasn't that no one went there, but they just shut the place down. There were times that you could barely get in the parking lot, and other times that the line of cars went well outside of the lot. Just crazy busy. I have no idea what happened to it, but we're on a Blizzard withdrawal now.

    If Lopez is back, I'd expect to see him in this game at some point.
