I doubt we ever see Rodriguez in a Twins uniform. I believe he will be traded before Spring Training next year. Most value over anyone that is tradeable on the current roster, other than Lewis maybe.

I was disappointed that SWR was pulled, however it may have been the correct decision. Stewart wasn't used much and Varland and Duran never pitched either. On the fence on this one as a 4 run lead versus a 2 run lead may have resulted in a different decision and wins are a premium right now.

Our return may not, but Jose had stated he wasn't signing an extension - so the trade brought back value instead of nothing.

I am not sure Vazquez if out of the picture as of yet. He has disappointed with the bat, but defensively and handling a pitching staff has been good. He won't command a lot on the open market and I would not mind a two year contract extension for him.

An arm - and we need them in AAA. I would like them to add Michael Fullmer who was just let go by the Cubs. He is a better option then Wentz, and I don't care of the LH/RH issue. I would also like to see them sign Candelerio and let Bride go. He can play 1B/3B and is a better offensive option.

No way..........we need Larnach. Wallner brings a bigger return.
  7. mickster
    he needs to go
  8. mickster
HE won't bring back the value he has with the Twins. No way we should package him

Trading Willi makes some sense as he is a FA and will test the market. Maybe he would sign back? This is all on hoping Keaschall can be the player we briefly seen. I want Vazquez back. Paddack and France won't bring much so that is trading just to trade. I would like to see them dangle Lee, and if ever healthy - Royce Lewis. I am not a fan of Festa at all - I don't think he will ever be more than a back end of the rotation guy so include him. I would also be looking at dumping Erod if teams want a prospect.

I agree the need to develop a couple of catchers in the minors is desperately needed, but I am also on board with re-signing Vazquez as his market value will be considerably lower then current contract.

Julien and Miranda are not part of the future anymore
  12. mickster
Erod will need to be in the deal. Erod and Raya might get something done.
  13. mickster
It would cost a couple top prospects for sure just too get them on the phone
  14. mickster
They hold them too long instead of flipping them for proven talent................then wait until they are 25+ to hit the big leagues.
  15. mickster
That will get you someone about to be DFA'd - no value for another team right now
  16. mickster
I don't think his fastball moves enough
  17. mickster
This was predictable. SWR is the better choice and hopefully a swap is coming for the next time through the rotation
  18. mickster
Best thing Festa can do for us today is to eat innings and wear this one.
  19. mickster
We might see a waiver wire pickup to add some veteran depth if anyone becomes available. Ryan/Ober/Paddack need to carry the load and push as deep as they can every night.

    See you in September Pablo

Not a good idea. A strong bullpen is key in the league today. Royals won a WS with a shutdown pen years ago............starters don't go over 6 today so keeping this group in-tact is crucial.
  22. mickster
I agree - however, just back from injury maybe a planned day. At least lets hope
  23. mickster
    Would love this to happen
  24. mickster
So, Festa, Rodgriguez, Maya and Lee
  25. mickster
And what would you be willing to give up for a rental like him?
