    I'd prefer they'd give the ball to someone every 5 days rather than planned bullpen games that deplete your bullpen. You'll get enough unplanned bullpen games as it is

    Maybe a few hiccups early on, but they'll mesh fine. Batting 2-3 in the order, turning double plays, it's gonna be exciting.

    What's the Twins record on "opener" games the past few seasons? Off the top of my head it seems like they haven't had much success with it. I could be wrong. I'd like to see them give the ball to over of the prospects and give him a couple months to see what he can do.

    I'm gonna guess the twins have some sort of insurance on players that would cover them in the event of comet strike. Or even blown out knee. For me, the risk is that we find out during the course of the year that neither Lewis or Martin is capable of becoming the heir apparent, Correa bolts, and they didn't address it at the trading deadline... I'll take your word on ask the WAR calculations!

    Poor Ralph. He pukes on the mound after one pitch Sunday and gets dfa today. I'm still rooting for Smeltzer. Glad he pitched good today.

    The Maeda and Lewis injuries are what really threw wrenches into their plans apparently. They have now effectively countered the Lewis injury, it's the Maeda injury that still haunts this team. I have no expectation of seeing him this year.
