  1. Pitchers' accuracy is only so precise; sometimes a pitch is going to accidentally land inside the strike zone.
  2. Pressly has been virtually perfect thus far. Don't want to jinx things, but it's true.
  3. I guess Stanton just needed to face us to get his confidence back.
  4. Seems like Dozier's the only one here who can provide a clutch hit.
  5. So far this season he has been... but you wouldn't be able to tell against us.
  6. I think Kepler has earned a promotion in the lineup. At least against righties...
  7. Oh, brother. They've already scored...
  8. Coincidentally, I had a dream last night where I was watching a baseball game and were an outfielder air-mailed a ball to the infield and turned a double into a triple. I think it was supposed to be Rosario's awful throw from the other day. Then again, it may not have, because the baseball game suddenly morphed into a game of soccer but with no goalies. I have weird dreams too.
  9. It's good to see Romero is still dealing. He might be in the majors sooner than expected, as it's clear Hughes is pitching on fumes. I'm sure they don't want to rush Romero, but his time is coming...
  10. He was a free agent, they easily could have signed him and chose not to.
  11. Honestly I'm just glad it's taken this long for Hughes to even get a start. Hopefully we won't have to endure his poor pitching for too long.
  12. Kepler against a lefty!!! Here we go!!!
  13. Wow, I looked away for 5 minutes and now it's a time game. Good job Rosario!
  14. Hildy has 3 options. He's never been sent down before.
  15. Bleh. Rogers needs to get lefties out...
  16. It helps when their best batter is hitting 8th.
  17. Fun Fact: The Twins have struck out more times than they've gotten hits. Twins hitters have combined for 109 hits this year. They’ve struck out 131 times. Over a combined 524 plate appearances, that works out to a collective 25% strikeout rate and a ‘base-hit rate’ of 20.8%.
  18. Nope, he's allowed to come back because Buxton was placed on the DL. The 10 day rule is waived if a player is sent to the DL.
  19. Full Lineups: Twins Lance Lynn ® 1. Brian Dozier ® 2B 2. Joe Mauer (L) 1B 3. Miguel Sano ® 3B 4. Eddie Rosario (L) LF 5. Logan Morrison (L) DH 6. Eduardo Escobar (S) SS 7. Max Kepler (L) CF 8. Robbie Grossman (S) RF 9. Jason Castro (L) C Rays Chris Archer ® 1. Denard Span (L) LF 2. C.J. Cron ® DH 3. Carlos Gomez ® RF 4. Brad Miller (L) 1B 5. Daniel Robertson ® 3B 6. Joey Wendle (L) 2B 7. Wilson Ramos ® C 8. Mallex Smith (L) CF 9. Adeiny Hechavarria ® SS As SwainZag said, it's great to see Kepler back, though can we please see some more LaMarre? He's a better offensive and defensive option than Grossman right now... Wow, the Rays have 3 former Twins in the lineup. And there's so Chris Archer... we might be in for a low scoring game again...
  20. Well, let's hope the bats can back up Berrios tomorrow. I think we can win that one.
  21. We always rush to put a narrative on things; the Twins just didn't hit well against Kluber and our pitchers have given up a few homers. If the Twins would have won 10-1, we'd all be saying that they were freshly rested or something like that.
  22. He's got a whole highlight reel of Ks with runners in scoring position at this point. There's no point in facing Mauer when it's that easy to strike Sano out. Yeah, I wish, but Molitor is molasses-slow when making lineup changes. Kepler needs to be in the top half of the order when facing a righty.
  23. Methinks Sano is going to strike out here... I hope he proves me wrong.
  24. There we go, Dozier. Still have a lot of runs to hit in...
  25. Not sure how long but I think it the first day was Friday, so he still has 3-5 days to go.
