  1. Correct. Bobby was even built like Buck - wiry strong but fast.
  2. Me too. Should have known Hunter would be on the list.
  3. I enjoyed the behind the scenes looks and just a different format. Not sure I would want it every game but it has been a nice change up.
  4. Agreed. Not sure how many 20/20 guys in franchise history. From memory I think, believe it or not Marty Cordova did it. Puck probably did it and I bet Tony O did it when he was younger. I’m sure these are wrong - memories fade. As a kid I thought Bobby Bonds was cool - he was in the 30/30 club a bunch of times. Buck is a lot like him other than the injury bug.
  5. Nope but 30/30 should be doable. Thats a helluva an achievement. Pretty small number in that club.
  6. Well put. I’m not a fan of the FO but they know more than me. Unfortunately for us you nailed it: they just aren’t quite good enough.
  7. How many losing streaks? I’ll put you down for 42-29 the rest of the way.
  8. 100% this, like Jeffers getting picked off first when he wasn’t going anywhere. This team wasnt constructed to be an aggressive baserunning team. Let Buck and Castro do their thing: everyone else just don’t run into outs.
  9. You think they are going to play 13 games over 500 the rest of the season? Thats a full season pace of 107 wins.
  10. Actually he does. He’s playing left field - a position along with first base where you need to have difference makers with the bat. The Twins offense needs a jump start and those two positions are obvious places to start. Considering his defense and slow speed he really isn’t a “fine” player. He is someone they absolutely need to improve upon of this offense is going to get better.
  11. I would do that deal in a heartbeat which probably means Milwaukee wouldn’t.
  12. Larnach is the definition of an average hitter even when getting protected against lefties. He’s a sub par outfielder who is also slow. The Twins desperately need an infusion of speed and defense in the outfield. Larnachs spot is a great place to start. Unfortunately this would be an off season transition.
  13. I hope EmRod can stay healthy and take the next step. The Twins could really use an infusion of speed and defense in the outfield.
  14. It was enjoyable to watch some athletic outfielders who can run and play defense. The Twins need an injection of that in my opinion meaning I would move on from Larnach or Wallner (maybe both) for next year.
  15. I would place him above those guys. For one thing he seems to compete and not be afraid to attack hitters. His stuff is meh but he throws all his pitches for strikes and he mixes it up enough to get guys out. Mathew’s and Festa have higher ceilings but SWR has a much higher floor IMO.
  16. Not worried about power numbers right now for Jenkins. I like that he is more of an all around hitter and not just power oriented. I have no doubt the power will come with more experience and without making changes to his nice swing.
  17. I wouldn’t pay any attention to this. When the Pohlads are moving their personal belongings out of Target Field then we can get excited
  18. I’m really happy for Buck. I will also be on pins and needles during the home run derby (hoping he doesn’t get hurt).
  19. We kind of stole that one. I thought that when Jeffers double clutched and threw the ball into right center it was the critical mistake that costs you a close game but they battled back. Nobody wants to be critical of a guy making his big league debut and hopefully some of today was jitters. But let’s be honest - that was was batting practice out there. I’m afraid that is not big league stuff.
