    If you want stuff from China that is junk with low quality , you pay very little for it ,,,, If you want something that is made in USA with higher quality you pay a premium price ... There is a difference .... If the twins FO are to make a trade and have the GUTS to do so for top quality arms , I'm all for it ,,, If they just go after somebody with a pulse for depth i say stand pat and just enjoy the season ,,,, It's been alot better than the total system failure of 2021 ....

    They all have to play the games and the twins are ahead with a 3 1/2 game lead .... Do the Twins have what it takes to be a contender at this moment , I would say no .... Competitive I would say yes ... Trade deadline could change everything for twins and the central division challengers .... I don't have much faith in FO going after top quality arms ,,, they really have never given us that luxury ,,, sonny gray and maeda are good but not top quality as far as trades go ....

    Polanco most likely but anyone can get on a homer streak ,, I just hope there are runners on base when it happens ... Sanchez hasn't hit alot of homeruns yet but who knows , 66 games left he could hit another 20 and finish with 30 , same with kepler but not 30 ... Polanco launch how many in second half last year and hit 33 for the year ...

    If trading with Oakland ,,, I would be interested in Murphy and a relief pitcher like puk .... Still not convinced that montas is completely healthy and might break down again before the season is over

    I must of been out to lunch ,,, I never heard he bet during his playing days , I did see him admit to Giovanni that he bet on games during his managing career .... Thanks for the update and I'll look further into this ....

    To my knowledge it was never proven that rose bet on games during his playing career ... I guess it can be assumed he did , and if it was proven than I could see the lifetime ban on the hall of fame ....

    Moran got the first 2 outs and then walked the next 2 batters ,,, This seems like a common occurrence with our bullpen ,,, duffey , pagan too ... Why does this happen ???? ...

    The hall of fame voting process is definitely flawed ,,, There are still players worthy of the hall that aren't in the hall of fame and there are players that were voted in the hall of fame that are barely borderline ..... Hank Aaron is still the homerun champion in my heart ... What pete rose did as a player deserves to be a hall of Famer too ... What he did after his playing days should have no bearing on his election .... 1 commissioner suspends him for illegal activities after his playing days were over ,,, it's time to forgive and forget and have Pete rose in the hall of fame with a plaque

    It was delayed so he could go and play , then made starter , because of an injury .... I cringed , he made it through without further injury ... then the day after the allstar game he got his ?....

    When I saw the headline , my first thought was he further hurt himself in the allstar game .... Relieved to see he got treatment for faster healing ,,,, GO BUCK , get healthy and get that average and production going ....

    Couldn't agree more at getting better for 2023 ... They have half of the roster in good condition , defense and offense , some healthy players would make it better ... What they haven't got right is pitching ,... they had better starting pitching at the beginning of the season through June than anyone thought was possible , but bullpen was a wreck from the get go and hasn't stabilized yet ... Mostly because of dumpster diving for depth .... Coaches are dealing with talent ,,, it is their duties to tap into that talent and develop that player into a better player ,,,, starts with the minor leagues and shouldn't stop with our manager and coaches in the majors .... keep coaching for quality professional players ,,, Professional is the key word in players and coaching , love of the game doesn't hurt either ( passion will carry alot of weight in succeeding ) ,( arraez is a good example ) there are others but I like arraez so I used him as an example ...

    Old timers unite .... before free agency there wasn't much trading before 1986 and you had the same player's throughout the season , I'm not saying there wasn't some trades at deadline , just not like it's been since playoff expansion ,,, they made their trades during the off season ... the trade deadline was established in 1920 by both leagues , but there was never as many trades as there are now , playoff expansion has changed that for sure to a busier deadline So if there are no trade deadline trades I will enjoy watching the twins talent win or lose ... Always have ,,,, I live for opening day and the world series series and everything in-between .... Old timers unite ,,, bring back some old school baseball and mix it in with new school baseball ,,, a happy medium for all .... Thanks Mike

    Nice article Melissa ,, nice write up and I appreciate that you spell out your words and no abbreviation ... Let's hope the remaing 68 games are exciting , but either way you look at it .... it's way better than they played last season .... go twins

    I thought the same thing when looking at standings that it might not be right ..... Some good in the second half will be , Good days and bad days of twins baseball .... Players impressing , and players that are depressing especially the dumpster diving pitchers they keep signing , they signed another yester , Feliz .....

    With all our injuries again this year and montas shoulder injury in early July , I would not trade for him thinking if he is healthy now before the trade deadline , the shoulder injury would likely reappear right before the playoffs and shut him down ... Winder , I would not trade at all , we developed the kid through our system and I have like everything I have seen of him on the mound , he's to good of a talent to trade and seems like the only bulldog we have , but I guess if his value is high and the twins think his pitching may flounder ,,, than trade him , I so far see a solid arm in winder when healthy .... We need help , we don't have a surplus of pitching at AAA ,,, the twins need to trade what we have a surplus of and that's infielders and a few outfielders .... We aren't going to like what the FO does unless they can trade sano for more than a bucket of balls ...

    I sure hope the front office has it all figured out because here on twins daily everyone is just speculating ,,, it was good reading though ... I did see a quote by squirrel I think that makes sense .... No matter what the front office does , we aren't going to like it .....

    Winder is not expendable and I have liked what I have seen over some of the other rookie pitching prospects ... His stuff plays well so far and only looks to get better if he stays healthy ... I like his composure on the mound ... seems like a bulldog ...

    If the twins are interested in montas it is bcause he is injured or could be injured goods .... That's an MO of the FO ...

    No one has ever mentioned evaldi in acquiring ,,,, I like it because he has post season experience and is a bulldog ... What would we give up , if he is a rental , that is the question I won't speculate on and does Boston figure to be sellers or fight to the end ,,, We'll know at the deadline

    And kaat too as the winningest lefthander in twins history .... he would have won a cy young in 1966 but they only gave out 1 cy young total for pitchers ( sandy Koufax won it in 1966 ) and later changed it to 1 per league
