    Though I agree with what you wrote about varland let's not get ahead if ourselves ... Varland has been nothing but consistent through the minor leagues and I did expect varland to do well and he did ... Really you need 3 years to evaluate what a player will be , there have been some exceptions .. Give credit where credit is due ... Varland deserves another start

    I like the defense of Leon better than Sanchez and jeffers ... He blocks better and that is what is lacking in major league catchers ... To many passed balls or wild pitches as there scored tend to lead to runners scoring from third base ... I want defense , Average is a plus

    Jewel was dfa'd for varlands 40 man roster spot .... Austin Davis should be the one dfa'd for varlands 28 man roster spot ... He was terrible in last night's game , no control , walks will haunt ....

    I agree , sonny was furious when he was removed from a game early and interviewed after the game , you could see his frustration , maybe he and Rocco have made amends or he is just keeping comments in house now .... I'm going to make a prediction that sonny gray makes a demand for a trade after the season , It just seems right by the veterans attitude ....

    I have to agree .... Managing is coming from top professionals ( falvey and company ) , what a crock , I haven't seen much professionalism in twins baseball that gives me an encouraging sign that we can win beyond the season , our baseball style of playing is about the worst .... No bunting , no stealing , no hit and run , no hitting behind the runners to move him up , no protecting the plate with 2 strikes ( to many strikeouts looking , be in control , don't let umpire determine your fate ) , no situational hitting , the list goes on and on .... It's a different game I love ....

    His composure for sure ,,, we know how consistance he has been in the minors , Hope he doesn't get rattled like Rocco does ....

    I'm going to have to go with bundy as the most under rated twin ... Why ? He wasn't on the twins roster last year and he signed as a free agent before the lockout ... Twins fans were furious and thought bundy was another shoemaker ,) my self included ) ... Nobody wanted him on twins daily ... that is being under rated in my opinion .... He actually has given us more than anyone thought ... I like his bulldogness

    I'm glad he's here and he does well ... Yankee fans are hard on the visiting team so he better clear the mechanism ... It does seem like he moved through the system fast , only time will tell ... Go get them dam Yankees Louie

    Since it wasn't a save situation , Rocco made an in game decision for the first time that I have noticed and brought in theilbar ... saving Lopez to pitch against the yankees ...

    You took the words right out of my mouth .... I totally agree that they do think of themselves as the smartest in the game .... Steer has made his major league debut and hit a homer and scored the winning run in his first game , something the twins seem to be lacking ( winning runs )

    Give credit where credit is due and varland has worked hard and has been better than consistent in the minors leagues and knocking on the door to the majors ... Where ever he pitches , as a starter or a relief pitcher his reward is performing in the majors and hungry to win a world series for his home state ...

    It's a long season and no player is 100% this time of year ... I'm not concerned about major leaguer ( arraez ) , he's still a spark in the lineup .... It could be the allstar jinx some players get ...

    Would have been nice to win the final game against Boston and continue a winning streak ,,, in their last 10 games they have played 500 ball ... 1 1/2 games out of a tie with Cleveland for the central division ... The twins need to play better than 500 ball to distance themselves from the other contenders to win division ... A 10 game winning streak would be nice , 5 game winning streak is not enough ... Start a new one and we'll see you in the playoffs ...

    Miranda is good and maybe the best rookie the younger fans have seen ,but us older fans have seen alot of rookies have better season's ... TONY O tops my list ...     I've been waiting for a 10 game winning streak for quite a long time ... 5 wins in a row , 5 more to go and that should get us back in first place .... If we're contenders we need that 10 game winning streak .... NO QUARTER , NO MINNESOTA NICE , just go out there with a winning attitude and play hard ...

    As for 2019 , players had career years and Rocco's job was easy , Rocco managed a disasterest 2019 playoff ,,, 2020 he still had some decent hitters but had to manage , again he was a disaster in the playoffs ... 2021 he was a complete failure on managing every aspect of the game but second half got alittle better but really no competitive baseball ... 2022 he has demonstrated to the fans he just doesn't care if the fans favor him or not and will not deviate from the plan ... The plan, the plan, the plan ... smiles everyone .... I will not cut him any slack on his style of managing . some players will leave by trade or free agency this off season and I wouldn't be surprised of negative comments from them ... There might be one player that demands a trade after the season too ...

    I say get rid of the manager and save some money for the bullpen and let the players manage and play the game .... Seriously : the FO and manager have their own plan , they don't even come close to moneyball teams of Oakland and Tampa ,,, Those two teams know when to trade their players with top value for prospects of top value that keep there window of competition open ... I'll say this again again , if Rocco stays he needs to implement new school with old school to be a more successful manager ..
