    I think the Twins were smart to deal Arraez prior to the shift being implemented. I think his bat-to-balls skills won't quite out-pace the league like they did last year. Likewise, a guy like Kepler could see his bat really improve due to the shift being banned, and he could increase his value as an asset in season.

    He was not acquitted. Prosecutors choose not to charge a high profile accused--not because he was innocent, but rather they either felt they could not meet their burden of beyond reasonable doubt, or it was not worth the media attention/resources/etc. Whether "consented" to or not, Bauer's behavior is objectively atrocious.

    Where in the last season was any of the pejorative thrust about Correa relevant? Sure, he had a rep coming in; but that didn't quite bear out, did it now?

    Really hard to have envisioned a better outcome for the Twins. The FO deserves praise today; their patience, persistence and keeping an open dialogue with Correa/Boras paid off.

    I appreciate your forward thinking; but I'm not sure any one of those players will even be worth extending. And Correa hedges against the lack of internal player development.
