    Way to ignore the Top 100 prospect and a legitimate bullpen piece. What the heck did you think they were getting for 80-game Polanco?

    You're vastly underselling a top 100 prospect. I didn't think we'd get even that for Polanco, much less actual pitching help in 2024.

    He allows Varland to move to the bullpen, where Varland showed out. Basically, he's a placeholder/inning eater in the last year of his contract. I wonder how many times he can be skipped in April.

    Well Gonzalez is the long term value, but Anthony DeSclafani and Justin Topa will play big roles for the club in 2024. This is a good deal, netting a top 100 prospect and major league pitching help (although not elite) for the present.

    Oh so, the Twins took out their GG CF in Kiermaier, by subbing a pitching who got the job done? Strategically, baseball concedes terrible matchups all the time. The alternative was putting a righthander in against Kiermaier, who, as you know, has had a good series...
