  1. No team made $$ last year and its doubtful many teams will make a profit in 2021. Estimates like 2/40 for Odo, I feel are vastly over-speculated. (Is that a sentence?). I doubt anyone will offer Odo anything close to that kind of $$.
  2. but, but, but ... Turtle is hitting up a storm in the Winter League... thats got t mean something... to someone... sometime...maybe...
  3. No Cruz ? Sano Garver Jeffers Donaldson Cave Kirilloff Rooker Turtle Need I continue?
  4. Oderizzi ? Oderizzi ! What's going on with Jake Oderizzi ?
  5. in a short season Roberts was exposed as a flawed hitter and he is headed into his sophomore jinx season. Buxton is due for a healthy season where his natural talent takes over. Moncado is a long long way from producing like Donaldson. Almost anyone would choose Twins catching over WS catching. Eaton is a forgetable player wheras Kepler has carried the Twins for weeks at a time Your analysis is as flawed in the WS direction as mine is for the Twins. Last year Abreau was better than Sano, but 2021 is a new year. Madrigal cannot compete with Arraez at bat, although he does appear to be the superior in the field.
  6. "The time is right when the time is right' - Yogi (If he didn/t say it, he could have)
  7. Since I now live far from Minnesota, I am signed up for the MLB broadcasts and I don't miss a game.
  8. Offer him 2 yr for 22 million, and settle with 3 years for 30 million and I bet he'll take it in this market.
  9. Goodbye Lindor. Glad to see you gone. Go be a wonderful player for the Mets.
  10. I loved the St Louis version of Tommy Herr... The Twins version... not so much.
  11. How many times have we read it..."It's easy to spend someone else's money." I'm not sure it would be a good investment. Berrios, with his outstanding work ethic has trained himself to the maximum. How muchy strain has that put on his arm. He isn't as tall as most stellar pitchers and he has pitched so often, I wouldn't be surprised to see him needing arm surgery in the near future. If that happens after he is signed to an extension, that means we payed all that money and got little in return. Don't get me wrong. I love watching Berrios pitch, when he is going well, but I still think the Twins should invest their money more wisely.
  12. This series is fun to read, however I find it hard to follow which predictions were made and when they were made. I wish you would make some notes to clarify the dates of your predictions and any updates.
  13. Brad Hand is left handed and breathing but his price tag is outrageous.
  14. Watch this to change again with the inclusion of electronic umpires. I wouldn;t predict how, exactly, it will depend too much on how players adapt, but I suspect batting averages will rise and OBP will too. This will lead to more pitching changes, opening pitchers and other stat drieven adjustments.
  15. If you have to explain it, forget it.
  16. without minor league depth there would be no Big League surprises.
  17. I'd like to see a lot more of Garver at 1B. If Donaldson cannot be the everyday 3B due to calf problems, Sano should be the #1 option and Garver should get AB as a 1B. All these guys (except Donaldson) are young and they could provide the Twins with fantastic flexibility for the future.
  18. The Wichita Plainsmen, or Planesmen (with a nod to Cessna)
  19. LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
  20. After thinking about Twins gains and losses in the Rule 5 draft, my conclusion is... So What? It rarely makes any difference at all.
  21. I think we have learned to not underestimate Falvine. By the end of Spring Training we will have made some significant positive moves.
  22. If she can do the job, so what if she's a woman. Its not fair to her that people are making a big deal about her sex. Thats as dumb as making a big deal about someone's race.
  23. I can't begin to tell you how much I hate the idea of the Twins bringing in a Free Agent DH or Outfielder. We have an abundance of talent ready to play in the Majors and we might as well find out how many of them will stick. Besides... think I secretly hope they both will resign and return...
  24. This is a case where we must trust Falvine to make the right decision. We won't know the answer until the 2021 season is over. Good luck to them.
  25. in 89 & 91 the Twins won the WS. All other years are ho-hum.
