    Kepler may look a bit like Morneaux, but Kiriloff can hit like him. and speaking of batting averages. With this teams low team BA, I can only smile when I think of when they start hitting like they have in the past. Maybe these last to games is a preview of coming attractions. PS. Can't say enough about the Twins marvelous pitching. :)

    I've posted this before, but the Twins could make room for Kiriloff if they wanted to. I think they would rather make sure that his wrist is going to hold up under every day playing conditions. Giving him AK another 3 weeks in St Paul should reassure the Twins that he will be effective. I doubt that more than 3 weeks will pass before one of the above mentioned players will incur some kind of injury. :(

    How to make room for Kiriloff = Sit Gallo 1 day a week. Sit Larnach 1 day a week. Sit Kepler 1 day a week. Sit Taylor 2 days a week. That gives Kiriloff 5 days a week. Let Rocco figure out who plays where, but play Kiriloff at 1b whenever he plays. :)

    I've written off Cavaco & Sabato. If they start playing well, I'll pay attention. Otherwise they are not in my "Hope Chest". :)

    I think this is an indication of how highly Falvine rates the Twins pitching staff and the likelihood that Smeltzer would be a contributing member at some point during the season. If Smeltzer is that far down on the list of probable call-ups he is better off trying to catch on with another, weaker team. :)

    I admire Cave's hustle. He hustled every game. However, there is no room for him on the Twins 2023 roster. Too bad. It was nice knowing you jake. (PS. Shave the beard so you don't look so dang old.

    PS. Don't forget Leon. He has been a good defensive catcher, seems to handle the pitching staff well, and has hit poorly (as expected). Good for a backup.

    I love watching Correa play defense. His mistakes are so rare that they stand out. He makes so many good throws that we just take for granted. This can give some fans a distorted idea of Correa's value. Can anybody remember the Twins having a SS of his quality? Smalley? Gagne?: They were good but not near as good as Correa. Enjoy him while he is here. However long that may be.

    I wish the departed players well, but if the pitchers we recieved help us win a playoff game or 9, then the loss is well worth it.

    The rundown of past players in the Futures game brings back many fond memories. There are many great Twins on that list and some we had high hopes for. I wonder how we'll feel about Steer & Wallner in 10 years?

    Times have changed and so should the game. Tech advances allow us fans to see where the ball is pitched. This brings justified anger with the umpires calling balls and strikes. Baseball analytics have determined that most pitchers should not try and pitch through the order more than twice. So a multitude of relievers is the result. It is hard for the avid fan to keep track of all the relievers, let alone the casual fan. It used to be, people would say, "Lets go to the game, Ryan is pitching." Now that is a good thing, but we know he'll only pitch 5 or 6 innings and then a bunch of guys we don't know will finish the game, and besides, the umpires can't call balls and strikes right so whats the big deal about baseball anyway? Analytics also have affected where fielders are placed. and the players are too dumb to adjusts. The whole game seems unfair. Too random. Too long. I'd rather stay home and watch 'Survivor' on TV. (I live in California and I watch all the games on TV using MLB.TV, If they let computers call balls and strikes and leave the rest of it alone, the game will adjust. Don't ban the shift. Don't use a clock more than the rules we already have. Get rid of the 10th inning man on 2nd. I remember when they lowered the mound. Maybe we do it again..)

    I don't hate Gordon in the lineup, but I find that every hit is a surprise (that's not good). Since Gordon has versatility, lets keep him on the roster, but not at the expense of Kiriloff or Larnach (since he's hitting, this year) or Miranda (love him

    I think you are showing us that Columbe (with a b) will not continue his current good results unless he gains better control of his pitches. I say, keep him pitching against the bottom of the order guys, but take him out when the top of the order comes to bat.

    If they are pitching well now, keep them. If not, senfd them down. This means Thielbar might go down. This means Duffy could be released...nahhh - not going to happen.

    I agree with most people. Godoy has to stay until both Sanchez and Jeffers can catch. Celestino needs to play every day in St Paul. Larnach should go down when Kiriloff is ready. The one change I;d like to make is to send down Garlick and bring back Cave. Cave fields better, throws better and hits better even though his at a disadvantage vs lefties.

    Fortunately, it is so early in the season that we can't tell if these numbers are trends or aberations. Lets look at these again, at the end of May.

    That was an interesting short update on some of our fast starting prospects. I hope yoou keep writing like this about the minors for those of us who otherwise wouldn't be up to date.

    Now the Twins need a spot for Arraez. Left field? (I hope not.) Will Polanco or Arraez be traded? Perhaps Miranda will be traded, since KF plays a Gold Glove 3b? Please, don't trade a major league hitter for any kind of hitter. Please.
