  1. Great list!!! If all these guys get healthy and find their game at roughly the same time, we could be in for something special!
  2. Unless Gordon wins a spot on the 26 man, he will either be traded or DFA’d and lost on waivers.
  3. It would be nice if 2 of those guys had breakout seasons. Any more than that would be crazy cool. I would expect more from the Miranda/Martin/Lee types tho.
  4. Farmer agreed to a 2 year deal with the team option on the 2nd yr. He will likely be traded but zero chance of DFA. Even Gordon would be traded for a low low level prospect before DFA.
  5. This is the deepest and most talented list of guys lined up for CF in the past 5 years. I will take a matured, healthy Buxton over at least 20 other starting CF’s in MLB. I would even put Castro in the top 20 CF options in MLB. Martin is the rookie that needs to prove he belongs. Gordon is the under achieving reclamation project and Bubba is the take a flier on what should have been the next Buxton 1st rd pick. We got all we need in CF options for 2024.
  6. I will take the over. He is actually healthy and the best option we have in CF. He has matured mentally as well and finally understands that he isn’t indestructible. All the doubters are going to see the best Buxton before his career is over. I wonder how many more games we win just having one of the best CF’s playing in CF on a regular basis. Does over 100 games in CF bring the team close to a 100 win season?
  7. Ooops. Yes and Erod will be 21 in Feb and will likely debut as a 22 yo.
  8. Its very interesting that Lee, Erod and Jenkins are all Feb birthdays in 2001, 2003 & 2005. All could be in the show within a season or two of each other and be teammates for a decade+.
  9. One thing is certain, Jenkins and Lee are the only 2 in our minors that have a shot at debuting at about 20 yo. They have both fallen in the FO laps just as Polanco and Kepler are at the tail end of their own decade+ with the twins. Jenkins has the highest ceiling of the two. Only Jenkins will determine when he gets to the show. If there was ever a kid that can get to the show and be the next Trout type, its Jenkins. Lee is more of a polanco type comparison. Could be much higher if he avoids major injuries that have limited polanco. I seriously doubt the FO is going to play games with either of their service times.
  10. I think thats how Steer and CES got to Cinci. Completely reasonable plan to improve the twins rn.
  11. Agreed. The Pohlads have $4,000,000,000.00 in net worth and they wont invest 25,000,000.00 in another SP. I get excited about prospects that can change the twins or increase their chances of success. With the success that we are having in the minors, its going to translate into MLB. We have an almost complete team to get to the post season every year. The Angles had 2 superstars, a few other really good players and a bunch of meh. Thats not us.
  12. Exactly 👍🏻 Its exciting to have these versatile guys that are bat first, find a defensive home later. Weed the 2 tool guys before the draft and get the 3-5 tools in house and develop them.
  13. We got that international signing kid thats playing C & CF. Crazy athleticism. Or Charlie Soto that outgrew SS at 17 yo and was drafted as a pitcher throwing 97MPH heat. Some guys can play just about anywhere the opportunity presents itself.
  14. This dates back past Jackie Robinson. The best young athletes either pitch, play SS or CF. By the time they get to MLB, they find a different position. A few stick up the middle.
  15. By the end of ‘25, its Wallner, Jenkins, Erod and Buxton as the 4 outfielders. The SP pipeline starts throwing 2 rookies into the mix every year starting in ‘24. No reason to trade any of these guys away. Lets play money ball!!
  16. Royce Lewis and the leg kick. Lewis got rid of it but it was something he was knocked for doing. Can someone do a video over lay to see how similar their swings are? Say RL in AA back in 2021….
  17. I know keaschall was a possible pick but was surprised when it happened because of all the duplication in the system. It’s possible that he is just that good and other guys get moved as we are finally in a position to trade away other guys and keep the best fit with the highest ceiling. The FO obviously had him ranked higher than other college bats that could have been picked at 49. Guys like LK have big value in MLB and its TOO EARLY to say he can’t stick in a premium D position. He looks a lot like a young RL in the batters box. He may turn out to be a great pick!!!
  18. Its a smart play by the FO. We have Correa, Buxton, Wallner, Lewis, Jeffers and Julien all rated in the top ten at their positions. Its not time to sell the complementary and depth players unless its a direct upgrade. It would have been time to throw $$$ at a top FA but that is obviously not in the budget. How many other teams have the kind of guy that we are after and are willing to sell? The answer is zero.
  19. Yup. He has been 100% off the radar. I hope he has a huge 2024 season!
  20. we need depth in St. Paul. No need to get worked up over this signing. Maybe before he is 28 yo he will stop chasing balls outside the zone. Probably not tho. the Twins CF starter is Buxton. He is finally healthy and has an actual chance at 150 games in CF. If you want to watch Bubba play, go to a Saints game.
  21. Health derailed his career or he may have been a real big deal.
  22. Awesome read! The what if game is always fun! Just last years draft brought us tons of what if’s. Moving up in the lottery to start thru the choice of Skene’s at #1. and so on through #5 Jenkins. Everyone of those fab 5 could have gone in different spots. Someday we will have to go back and do some what ifs in that ‘23 draft class.
  23. Great read!! I would have probably picked different players for breakout candidates. In thinking Kala’i Rosario vs. Yasser Mercedes.
  24. Well the twins need 2 more closers. So Im too lazy to check but is Neris still a FA? Anyone want to see him in a Twins uniform?
  25. All these responses with different names in trades that doesn’t answer your question. I would say that neither team would agree to that deal. I don’t think either team would even propose it.
