    If C4 has a long term Il then Lee would get the call. Minor issue, he stays in aaa. It’s great to have the depth that we have!

    C4 is a stud and likely to have his best year in ‘24. Here comes 7fWar and a gold glove. Bench players won’t matter much at SS.

    Lets go worst to first in strikeouts…. But then we would be worst in HR’s. Less GIDP’s would be nice also.

    All he has to do is bunt successfully 30 times and he would almost be there if he has 400 AB’s. Bunting for singles will be the new thing in ‘24.

    All the vids I have seen of Doncon hr’s were pulled to left field except one to left center. His hand speed is amazingly quick and he looks long and lanky size wise. The guy can hit but he is Eddie Rosario nonpicky. Too much swing and miss but he is very young.

    Even if they sign another pitcher, we MIGHT need someone to eat up innings on 15 starts IF everyone in AAA fails when they are called up. What are the odds? Gotta be close to zero.

    Keller and/or Syndergaard on a minor league deal would work. Low risk, high reward.

    Last year the Twins got a one time $30M Disney BAMtech payment. Every team got that $30M so we are technically down $38M

    Geez. 85.5 wins. I would take the over on everyone of those betting lines. The bullpen is gonna get the top 3-4 starters at least 12 wins each. Long gone are the blown saves and the guys that Baldelli kept trotting out to fix them. We can finally rotate the hot hand in just based on the volume of options available in the organization.

    The FO should get an A for the assignment of getting the best 4th OF available for such a low price. Even tho Miller will be missed, Doncon may lessen that blow if he ever makes it to the show. In a offseason when the FO could have simply sold the farm to have immediate impact, they have actually made it stronger….and improved the varsity! Margo is arguably the best 4th OF we have had in forever. Now lets play some ball!!!⚾️

    I would be on someone signing a milb contract with an opt out. Its not going to block any existing talent because they will call up the hot hand for a spot start anyhow. Too bad it isn’t possible to sign a two way/temp contract that can be modified on the fly. Something about only available to certain players based on service time. I think it would get alot of these guys signed and playing.

    The Twins have already Polo, Gordon and Miller in the last few weeks. Lee isn’t getting traded because he is a future building block of the team. And who is to say they will make room for him at 2B. Positional issues always work themselves out as needs arise. 2B is Juliens and Farmer will fill in sometimes. Things will inevitably change later in the season or in 2025.

    Why would we trade our best guys away? We don’t need anything but a #1 pitcher and no one is selling until July and there will be plenty of rentals available…. That our FO sucks at evaluating.

    Beat me to it. @Doctor Gast Noah Miller might be a gold glove MLB’r after he finds his bat and gets to the show. Some time after 2025. We will likely draft 2 more SS in ‘24 that will have the same or better chance as Noah. Sorry for your loss and that you will have to root for him in Dodger blue. Life is really cruel sometimes.

    The F entails a few things. Not fixing the streaming issues. Lying/over exaggerating about the loss of revenue and how to “right size” the business. They have owned it since 1984. Accomplished a $1.4B increase in Equity and they can’t find a way in 40 years to figure out when the best time is to step up a run for the WS with or without player salary increase. They simply choose to throw water on the fan fire by a bad choice of words. They have a PR problem that lead to the F.

    You are being too harsh on the FO. For what they had to navigate, they didn’t give away the farm or stand still the whole offseason. The FO only brought in enough vets to let the next group of young guns figure out a few things and be able and to push their way into MLB. The FO deserves credit for not log jamming anyone position or player while also getting legit MLB depth. That tightrope has to be given an A. Ownership only deserves something more than an F if and only if we make a deep playoff run. Someone needs to explain to them that “rightsizing” their business means winning a WS soon. Its been 33 years of “wrong sizing”.

    We can only hope that the mediocre vets play the best season of their career or just get injured so we can just move on to young guns. Either way, its going to be a fun season of baseball ⚾️ The FO at least tried to improve the team. Ownership still needs a kick in the pants to understand that “rightsizing” a business is nothing that fans care about. Even a casual fan can understand that $30M investment can be recouped over time. A 1984 investment of $44M built its way to $1.5B current value after all. How much is a WS trophy worth? Probably north of $250M additional future revenue?

    Are fans really that fickle? All the team has to do is win games and the stadium will be full of fans.

    I believe they both threw bull pen sessions today but my money is on them both being on the 60 day DL at some point in ‘24 so Varland, Okert and Funderburk are gonna get a lot of opportunities!

    Its a good start with those 5. There is probably 5 more that could get just as good of a chance to be a big contributor on varsity… Canterino Alcala Camargo Festa Larnach in no particular order…. and I still have honorable mentionables…
