  1. Thats about as close to a trout clone as you can get! What a great story and we should be geeked about seeing him in St. Paul soon!! Its pretty clear that some of our recently signed vets are on the slippery down side of their careers. Next year and beyond, get these young bucks to MLB and let them play!! I’m so over watching aging vets suck the life out of the Twins.
  2. LV and SWR are #5 & #6 in 2024. I would expect no more than 40 total starts between them. All we really need is sub 4 era in those starts and get the bats woke up!
  3. Probably trying to get tonkin thru waivers and taking a chance that bowman will stick in mlb for awhile. If he doesn’t do well, then send him away. Duran will also be back in a couple weeks so they need bowman to sink or swim before that. Alcala has options and needs rest so its a win win if bowman is even moderately successful.
  4. Please promote Erod to AAA yesterday! He is clearly ready. Game 14 today on varsity…. Kep on IL. Wallner and Buck getting rest days. Oooof dah.
  5. Dang what a nice job by SWR!! He should have a job in the rotation until he has at least 2 horrible starts which might not happen. He seemed to figure stuff out last summer and has finally made that climb to MLB official. Keep him on varsity!!
  6. Julien can be average to slow if he hits .280 and has 40 HRs, 30 2Bs. Healthy and in the lineup is the first step.
  7. The next couple weeks are more important than the first 2. Time for the offense to wake up!!
  8. It’ll be fine. Calm down.
  9. Didn't the Rays for 24-0 last season and still not win their division? A couple wins and we will be back on track.
  10. Its not just Raya and Festa getting the slow go treatment. Paul Skenes is only getting 3 innings at AAA Indy. Yes, we have loaded up international signing prospects.
  11. We really knocked the 2023 draft out of the park. Great talent and quality humans. Years from now it will be a great look back to see how legendary last years draft was.
  12. Fyi, your Jose Rodriquez link goes to a kid playing in the chicago whiteys org. I do like the one in our organization tho! I think he has a huge future. I’m watching a lot of Corey Lewis this season. Betting he is in St. Paul by July!!
  13. This isn’t Rice University. Keep the new toys bright and shiney with plenty of future games to win. these kids might only pitch 3-4 innings per game but they are still throwing on off days and building up their core in conditioning programs. MiLB isn’t the place to throw 150+ innings, its a place to develop the skills to win games in the show. Soto will have a program that works for him. Raya obviously is benefiting from his program since he isnt on the shelf. He will debut WELL before he is 24yo. with 2 picks in the top 32ish this summer, I hope they go after another HS SP prospect and a hotshot catcher that can team up with Jeffers 3 years from now.
  14. Kepler is in the lineup!
  15. If it happens, it will stop all the whining on this site about how we have no talent and we can’t have nice things on the team.
  16. Its actually a nice list and other than Dobnak, they are young and each has huge potential. Most MLB SP have been in the same boat, young guys developing their craft, getting experience and gaining confidence. WHEN we need someone to step up, we have more than one guy to take the reins. As the season goes on, the possibilities increase for more prospects to be on this list. Cory Lewis and Raya are definitely a possible fireman type call up in the 2nd half. There is no reason to think that we don't have someone waiting in the weeds to be the next Ober/Varland development guy. I would like to see Headrick take it just because he is LH. Everyone of the guys on the list and more will definitely be making at least 1 start this season. We just need one of them to take a huge step. No reason to even be worried because one of them will take that step. Thats why they are getting paid.
  17. Well it’s technically possible since we have 5 mostly legit young starters. Only need 4 of them to get wins in half their starts. Yes, many things have to go really well, but thats my prediction.
  18. When healthy, Buxton is the man. Healthy trends will continue 🍻
  19. Lets just say, hope it doesn’t come down to Dobnak being needed on the 40 man. He may not be done yet but lets hope he isn't actually needed.
  20. Correa and Buxton both get votes for MVP. Twins win 104 games. AK bats .300 with a .923 OPS. 4 SP have 15 or more wins. 2nd best pitching staff in MLB.
  21. The Twins should not have tried to revamp his swing. They should have developed his strengths and improved his weaknesses. Power and homers development with some guys later in their careers. Elite contact skills are just as important as elite power. See… MAT and Gallo as aging vets that were here for a year. Neither has elite contact skills and MAT outproduced Gallo at Gallos skill set. Let Martin play his game. He might just develop into a special player.
  22. Julien was an 18 rd pick that was nowhere on any experts radar. Martin can develop his game. He just has to put the work in.
