  1. This post would have been perfect in February 1988 had the internet been around
  2. I don't buy that Gray starts game one in a playoff series for this team at all. Not for one second. It'd be Lopez or possibly Ryan 100%.
  3. If you search Webster's dictionary for "what is a typical Twitter interaction, about the Twins, with someone with Vikings in their bio" this is it :)
  4. Of the two at this point I would vote Gallo goes first. Kepler at least provides defense, and IF he could play CF that would certainly help the team and cement his roster spot. I'm not at all certain that either Wallner or Larnach are the answer. But Gallo and Kepler haven't been the answer up to this point either. Depending on what they do, it's always possible that Lewis or Julien or Kirilloff play some corner outfield as well right? Maybe not Julien, but it's at least worth considering the idea to keep his bat in the lineup. I do hope they are flexible with roster changes, and I also hope that they add a bat in the next few weeks prior to the deadline.
  5. It's fun how you pick Correa for lvp when the other 3 players you list all have negative fwar and he doesn't. Hopefully he is feeling better from his plantar fasciitis asap. I'd imagine his numbers will course correct over time.
  6. I think the Twins need to add a solid bat prior to the deadline. Whoever that is, at least show they are open to adding. If it is a big name player like this, the fit will work.
  7. Good thing they have Lopez, Ryan, Ober, Varland and Paddack ready for the start of 2024, along with a whole lot of time to make trades or sign a free agent while letting their pitching develop right?
  8. I would like to nominate this post for both a Nobel prize and spot in the Lourve in Paris. It is absolutely perfect
  9. IF they are going under slot, I would hope for about 8 or 10 other guys before Gonzalez. Why not Chase Davis or one of the next level of college pitchers (Dollander, Lowder, Waldrep) or Tommy Troy or Kyle Teel? All of them are vastly more exciting than Gonzalez in my opinion, and all would still come with a bit of a discount right?
  10. I'll throw out a name that would work well here. Lamonte Wade Jr, I know he is a former Twin, but man is he having a career year with the Giants. I'm curious what he would cost in terms of a trade.
  11. I'm hoping for one of Crews/Langford/Skenes to fall to 5, but otherwise Clark or Jenkins would be great. I don't really want to reach too much, and his bat/potential is very exciting.
  12. It's up to the front office to figure that out. My expectation as a fan is that they put a strong team, on paper, together. I can totally see Royce being the CF even next year, but there are options. But I do think letting it play out and letting guys earn roles, and/or figuring out what guys aren't able to do (so trading/acquiring other guys) would be on the docket come December/January.
  13. I would hope they find someone that can be out there if they don't trust what they have in house. Honestly the Twins have been one of the more aggressive teams both at the deadline and in the offseason across baseball. I'd prefer to worry about and add to the 2023 team in July 2023, and then with a lot of salary space this offseason figure out the 2024 team 100% at that time. That's all. I do not want to sell at the deadline here, that's all I meant. But there is a LOT of time between now and opening day 2024 right? That's all I meant.
  14. Good thing this is the one and last time that they can either develop players, sign free agents or make trades at any point between now and forever right?
  15. I don't see any way that they are out of it come the end of this month. I'm expecting a reliever and probably a bat to add, depending on how players perform between now and then. I don't see selling as an option.
  16. This article feels way too early to decide on. Funny that it was put out day(s) after Martin's first hit in AAA.
  17. This would not at all be my first choice or even my 8th choice. But I would be more excited with him than either Gonzalez or Wilson. If they believe they can develop this guy I wouldn’t hate it
  18. I am not advocating for keeping Kepler. I'm not. I just don't know that I (or anyone) should expect Wallner to be a savior of this offense. That's all I'm getting at. I am all for sending Kepler on his way (among other moves) but I also wouldn't expect Wallner to be a long term fixture in a corner spot here. That's all I'm getting at
  19. I'd certainly be more excited about this than one of Gonzalez or Wilson. I can get behind this for sure. Who would you have at 34 in this scenario?
  20. If the twins love him, and have a plan to help regain his slider, that would excite me. I just don’t know that I see the value that high in this specific draft
