  1. Teel is having a GREAT year, and his arm is exciting. Is he someone you could see them taking at #5? I don't see him falling to #34.
  2. I have a feeling it's going to be Winder taking over the Sands role. I'm not certain what happens with Maeda, but I can't see him going to the bullpen yet. It is good to have solid depth though.
  3. Kepler is the obvious answer here, barring health.
  4. I think it's Maeda who we are talking about. Mahle's stuff is too good, barring health.
  5. I find it fascinating that Ober is 8 months older than Pablo Lopez. But yeah, hopefully he can stay healthy and hopefully he gets a shot because either he earned it (which is probable) and not because of injuries.
  6. So the minor league report from yesterday (4/13) lists Connor Prielipp as the potential starter for Cedar Rapids Friday night, but then Friday night comes around and he wasn't the starter for Cedar Rapids. He also is not listed as the projected starter for tonight (Saturday) or tomorrow. Anyone have any word why?
  7. Now all we need is Teri Hatcher saying that the win was real, and yes the win was spectacular :)
  8. I feel like Kepler is going to be fighting to come back if everyone else is healthy. I also think that Royce Lewis might be in this mix come June. But yeah, hopefully health is good for this group.
  9. Best targeted (real life) ad I ever saw; I was golfing at Hidden Greens in Hastings years back, and I sliced my drive on hole one into the trees. I see a sign on a tree as I walk to find my ball, and it read "If you can read this sign, call this number, I'm a golf teacher and I will fix your slice." I didn't call, but I still remember the ad :)
  10. I clicked on Kyle Jones' link as he is listed as the pitcher for Cedar Rapids above. It lists Kyle as a 2b/ss still in college. I think the starting pitcher isn't that player. FYI
  11. Dullard is such a great burn. That one needs to be used much more often.
  12. I see the Rangers have the 4th pick, but the 16th most draft slot money to use. This is due to losing their 2nd and 3rd round picks with the signings of DeGrom and Eovaldi. Jeremy, what do you think the chances are that the Rangers take a signability player at #4 due to this? I'd have to imagine the odds of that are fairly high, no?
  13. Most scouting reports I've seen on Salas don't believe that he will be a SS in the majors. Stay there as long as you can, but he more likely will flip to 3b eventually. As far as high A goes, I hope both of them have healthy and productive seasons. They both are exciting for different reasons.
  14. I wish Steer well. He seems like a good dude, and he has an opportunity to make his place in MLB. Good for him. IF he becomes a 5 time all star, I'd be shocked. I suppose every team has to have an all star, but the pitching in Cincy looks pretty bright for a few years now. I'm not going to lose sleep over him being traded to bring in Mahle though. I'm excited we have a pitcher as quality as Mahle is.
  15. Both of them have a LONG way to go to get there. A LONG way. Heck, they'd have a LONG WAY to go to make our roster right now, right? If they get a chance elsewhere and even become mlb regulars, good for them. Wish them the best. Also hoping for a Mahle extension at some point. You make this trade every single day of the week when you were in the position Twins were at that point.
  16. Why in the world would the Twins take back the trade? Steer and Encarnacion Strand don't have a place here with the Twins, and Mahle (when healthy) is a #2 starter. He certainly looked it last night. When the Twins have a playoff rotation that includes Lopez, Mahle and Ryan, would you still take back the trade of a couple prospects we don't have space for?
  17. What a roster! This one may be the most interesting of all affiliates for prospect fans. Don't love reading that Marco Raya has any sort of shoulder issue though. That's concerning.
  18. 100%. This was a great article, and I agree completely. This and the ghost runner. Both of those should not be in postseason play. Thanks!
  19. This headline should have been used by Randball Stu :) But yes, I am happy they have depth.
  20. Have a fun party! Those of us that can't get off work will still be there cheering in spirit!
  21. When Berrios was traded in 2021, at that point he was leading the AL in innings pitched. When the Twins have had good/quality starting pitching, they've let them do their thing.
  22. That was a fun survey! I have a really hard time assuming who will be a relief pitcher to start the year, so that one (to me) is anyone's guess. Thanks!
  23. Hypothetically, if Miranda were to flip to 1b, with Royce Lewis at 3b (just roll with me here) where would you put Miranda in the 1b pecking order? Inquiring minds.
