  1. I believe it was Copernicus who demonstrated that the universe does not revolve around any of us.
  2. Did Marwin Gonzalez figure into the long-term plans? No, but he had a role here for a couple of years. Castro can do at least that well.
  3. I have to write to some physics types I know about where to come to find the source of dark energy and dark matter in the Universe.
  4. Polanco to 2nd, Julien to 1st, Kiriloff to OF. It seems like the best bet.
  5. Counting is much easier if you do it while checked in at Hilbert’s Hotel.
  6. It’s always been easy to find irritable bowel syndrome around here.
  7. I retired. I now work three part-time jobs instead of one full time one.
  8. I predict there will be no shortage. Anyway, maybe hopeful news. Maybe.
  9. If I’d had the dough to be set for life at 34, I’d walk and not look back, too. Good onya, Sonny.
  10. I suppose whichever one you get the best return offer for.
  11. Clearly CF at Target Field is cursed. We should be looking into an exorcism before asking anybody else to risk damnation there.
  12. So, adjusting to changing realities is now a bad thing. Darwin just made a triple gainer with a half-twist in his grave (in Westminster Abbey, I visited it).
  13. I’ll answer it. For this season, most likely. It won’t shock me if he has a follow up procedure after the season. As far as predicting the future, you will pick the four of hearts.
  14. Care to summarize for the great unwashed masses?
  15. Improving this lineup is easy. Have the stars (Buxton, Correa) hit up to their ability. Without that, it doesn’t really matter much.
  16. How many ballots are there in HoF voting? Is everyone a unanimous first ballot choice? Then I guess that’s not enough.
  17. I’d be in favor of hiring a more experienced coach, maybe not Molitor but I’d consider either Cuddyer or Nelson Cruz as good options. It’s unclear that the youth movement on the coaching staff has proved ideal, and a mix might be better.
  18. I do kinda miss Wes Johnson coming up to Bailey Ober’s belt buckle.
