  1. Very happy for Gardy as well as for Cron & Scoop. Cabrera is a surprise, He has been a thorn in our flesh as well as former Twins but even so I`m not too concerned w/ them. Tigers are rated last even though they have a much better record than many ahead of them. Wish Gardy luck w/ his recycled Twins
  2. Don`t fix anything that`s not broken. The pitchers are adjusting to him so he needs to adjust & he will, besides finding his groove. NP right now because we have plenty of talent to keep us in games until he comes around
  3. I like the idea of an opener but as a BP game, I`m not so crazy about either. Clippard has pitched a lot of pitches lately, I don`t know if this a good time to use him as an opener. If they want use an opener why not use Bailey as a tandem & scale back his innings. Pushing back Bailey will push Berrios back, Berrios usually pitches better w/ normal days of rest, unless Hill also needs to be pushed back
  4. Dobnak has proved to me that he`s the Twins top pitcher, right now. It was great that he got the run support & Baldelli finally pulled out the big guns in the BP to secure his victory. Dobnak is like a pitbull, he`s tenacious. Go Twins, hope Donaldson a speedy recovery, we need him
  5. Of all the starters, Hill has pitched the best (it was great that he removed all doubts about his arm) . W/ the line up getting crucial 2 outs hits to score the 3 runs needed to win the game in support. Baldelli brought out all the big guns in the BP to secure the win. Next to Hill, Dobnak pitched the best & could have won his game if he had the BP support the other starters had. Let`s see what Odo can do & Berrios bounce back in our series against CLE. Go Twins
  6. Sox played the top 2 teams of both central divisions right off the bat, so the rest of the season will be much easier. They`ll do better. Surprises so far are, DET is starting better & Reds worse.
  7. W/ this Twins team Arrais needs to keep on doing what he has been doing so well & that is getting on base. If he he tries to change his swing to get more power & gets on base less, it`s counter productive. What he needs to improve this season is his defense if he can do that it`ll be a success
  8. Because of a shortened season I see many players will go all out to attain that elusive notoriety of being a .400 hitter, hopefully Arrais has a shot. Although I hope the rotation will really produce as a whole, I wouldn`t bet on it. I`m most sure of Berrios & if Odorizzi & Hill recover quickly & stay healthy & Baldelli uses his BP efficiently, we`ll advance well into the PS. To win the ALC we need a bonafide ace but because of the early trade deadline (comparatively) & extended PS team will not be willing to trade away one
  9. Like everyone I was surprised about Whitefield. I was also surprised w/ them playing Kepler in CF in last nite`s exhibition game. Hoping they wouldn`t play him at all there this year & they go out & do it the last preseason game. IMO Wade should`ve had the experience before the season if Buxton isn`t out htere
  10. I`d put Donaldson on top because of his bat & glove together w/ intangible his leadership. I`d also like Kepler & Garver on the list so I`d have to drop Cruz & maybe Berrios (due only because he`s in 1/5 of the games). I`d rate Buxton towards the top because he has the capability of really impact a game if he proves healthy
  11. Beauty of his deception is he gets a lot ground balls, if they can figure him out in the AL where he can no longer be effective there should teams in the NL that`d love him (like CO)
  12. I`m still scared of CLE, I wouldn`t under estimate them. Their pitching could neutralize our hitting, it boils down to our superior OF defense beats their superior INF defense. In the beginning of last year they had some key injuries & we were red hot which created too big of a hole they couldn`t overcome
  13. Very impressive Very impressive, the future looks bright. That`s my dream, to have an ace factory like CLE. Was disappointed this spring but there`s still hope
  14. They know what they are doing. I see Dobnak & Smeltzer making the roster but the others should see a lot of time. You can never have too much pitching, you never know when you get an injury, get covid or fall apart & with this rotation we need a lot of substitutions
  15. I think they put a lot of stock into pitching at least 7 quality innings on a constant basis & racking up a lot of quality innings, basically how they rate on a scale of being an ace. Only Berrios comes close to be an ace or Hill when he gets stretched out. So looking that way our rotation doesn`t rank that high. But what really makes the difference from 2019 to 2020 is the pitching support & BP w/ that angle I think the Twins rotation should have made honorable mention
  16. Thank you Mick for putting salt on the wound! LOL! But being serious I hope that our new FO will have a better track record than the past. I think you forgot Odorizzi/ Palacios trade I believe we won. Also it seems to me that Andy Macphail was pretty good
  17. Hats off to Chelsea! for the courage she has shown to battle skin cancer, divorce, career set backs & last but not least the loss of her dog. The support of a pet dog is so important in coping w/ sufferings plus losing that support is very grievous. On top of that, to battle for the start up independent ball deserves the admiration from all who love the sport along w/ all who participated w/ her. God bless you!
  18. Totally agree, he needs to perfect those pitches that`ll make him a great pitcher as a starter. We could use Pressley especially last year but in the near future that trade will pay off nicely, Alcala has my vote also once he gets his control down. Sorry I haven`t forgotten Graterol yet
  19. I was surprisingly pleased to see them in 2nd place because they are so under rated by the pundits. But IMO they are #1
  20. It was great to see the Twins play! It was a good game, although rosters seemed a little lopsided
  21. Like those Twins rejects especiallyGardy! wish them well when they`re not playing the Twins.
  22. Good point, Patrick. Last year Odorizzi in his 1st 60 days was dominate, better than Berrios. Odorizzi has been improving every year since we got him & they know how to use him ( he pitched by far, less innings than any SP except Pineda) so I believe this shortened season will greatly benefit him.
  23. I too don`t understand why so many people want to get rid of Rosario. Yes, he seems to be over aggressive at the plate & too lackadaisical in LF but he`s still by far the best we have in that position. Many want some up coming bat to take his place but they are more suited to play 1st base or DH which we have such a glut, I`d like to trade one or two of them which would be a much better trading chip than Rosario for a ace or potential ace. It seems like Rosario is serious about changing, healthy & he still has a great arm. So I`d give him a chance to prove himself (he has the tools to do it) & if he does, I`d keep him
  24. We have to have a true CF to substitute Buxton, Kepler is much better in RF & it takes a lot out of him to play CF. That kinda leaves Wade, Celestino or Lewis whichever one proves the most he can hit in the majors.
