  1. We have to have a true CF to substitute Buxton, Kepler is much better in RF & it takes a lot out of him to play CF. That kinda leaves Wade, Celestino or Lewis whichever one proves the most he can hit in the majors.
  2. I`m all for this piggy-backing especially in the beginning of the year. I like the matching of LP/RP but I don`t like Chacin as the 5th starter (I`d prefer Dobnak or Bailey) yet again it`s early & there`s a lot of shaking that can happen. I can see Berrios go solo very quickly & hopefully Hill before the end of regular season but the rest I`d like to see some form of this strategy to stick
  3. Great article, but I believe Chris Archer won`t be pitching this year due to a surgery he elected to do prior to the agreement to start the season
  4. Donaldson, Hill, & Cruz have pretty much peaked, hoping to remain healthy w/ Donaldson being top tier (offense& defense) . Rosario & Garver could better some; Berrios, Kepler, Polanco, Sano & Buxton have not come close to peaking yet, All have proven themselves & could become top tier but Buxton has much more up side. Arraez needs to prove himself his sophomore year but he could be an elite contact hitter.
  5. Something I forgot to mention was when I saw Buxton in the photo, he seemed like a different person. W/ fierce determination like he was ready to not only break out but explode
  6. Interesting comparing slime to May but you got your point across
  7. Buxton still has a lot of untapped potential, when he get`s it all together watch out. He`s exciting to watch, expecting a lot of excitement from him this year!
  8. As much as Garver would love to play every day, he has acknowledge he needs rest. Much like Cruz has learned. Hope everyone gets their share of rest so at PS they are all peaked & rested
  9. In 2018, Garver proved to me that he was going have a great 2019 both offensively & defensively. He exceeded all my expectations, if he hadn`t got hurt before All-Star he should`ve been on the starting roster. Even w/ the injury, that could have ended someone`s season, he came back quickly & strong. His strength, discipline & determination really impresses me, so I believe he`s going to come back strong in 2020 w/ no regression
  10. My Condolences, Sorry for your loss. Friendship is a precious thing, we don`t know how much until we are w/o it. Some of my best memories are in baseball & MN. I took some culinary classes in college as an elective, proved to be very valuable
  11. I read that, too. Rich Hill has been a question mark for me. It`s great to see him ready to go. Pineda seems a little out of shape, hopefully he`ll be ready when his suspension is up(w/o using any more weight loss meds). Wes Johnson wants to go w/ a normal 5 man rotation, I think in the beginning especially for this group of starters, I`d prefer to see them to be be more creative & ease them all in slowly. Berrios it wouldn`t take long to be ready to go 7 & much later down the road, Hill should be ready. But the rest, I`d be ready to sub on short notice. In this scenario, the pitchers would be totally refreshed & all pitchers would be adequately exposed to MLB before PS.
  12. Welcome back! We are ready to hear baseball from you! They should have paid you for promoting their song instead of penalizing you. Go figure
  13. Thanks again Nick! for some resemblance of baseball while we wait. It`s amazing how ex Twins always jump up bite us
  14. As a Twin fan, like was mentioned, you gotta love if they continued the universal DH. Because it`d create a large market for our surplus of DH canidates.
  15. Great line up! Buxton is comfortable at 9th but he hasn`t tapped into his full potential yet, w/ a healthy year & some good at bats he could open up some eyes w/ his bat not only his glove. If Rosario is true to his word he could be more consistant by being more discipline at the plate & could move up the line up. Garver will be great but due to his position I`d give him more rest by batting him 8th
  16. Thank you for that spark of encouragement!
  17. I don`t want to sound insensitive but Hottovy only mentioned the emotional suffering he went through being separated from his wife. I`ve been away from my wife for months at a time, shortly after we got married & even worse after the birth of our daughter, I was separated for months. That was hard times & I can relate to what he went through but we got through them & grew from it & appreciate each other that much more. Life is never easy, that`s how we grow. Hottovy didn`t enlightened us with the physical consequence of covid 19 so we can`t really evaluate that aspect of his story although many assume the worse.
  18. TB starting Balazovic, Yarbrough or even Morton before Chirinos doesn`t make sense. Looks like Chirinos had a better season but maybe there is some underlining situation that I don`t see
  19. With so much uncertainty & so much of the season left after the deadline, I doubt anyone will take on yesteryear salary . But who knows if someone is desperate enough at that time. IMO there will be a fire sale on FA this off season
  20. Oddo has pitched 192 innings this year which is by far the most he has ever pitched so I assume according to history his tank is near empty. So I`d go w/ Wood especially being left handed, pitched fewer innings & his efficiency, I`d bring in Oddo later if the situation calls for it. Berrios would come in fully rested for game 5 if need be. The next series Oddo could deservingly start a game
  21. My understanding is players can be added to the 60 man pool. Hopefully at least Balazovic will be added after the others have been reevaluated
  22. The Bomba Squad has been under rated & has shown up in the virtual game, they believe that they were a fluke. I don`t know how pitching will pan out in reality but Twins hitting are for real & will show up this season
  23. I too don`t think that anything big will materialize at deadline, at least for the Twins. IMO where our greatest need is at impact pitching, I believe anyone w/ impact pitching will be in the hunt for a position in post season. Therefore I don`t see anything will be available. It`s hard to figure out if CLE will or can trade Lindor in this crazy season. We`ll have to see
