  1. My hope this season is that eventually everything would return to normal. Under this premise it can`t, they are forced to play all their games at their preseason camp. Although to start the season it`d be reasonable to have a Florida (AL) & Arizona (NL), switching a few teams base camps to accommodate the restructuring. But anything is better than nothing
  2. Something I`ve been thinking of is when Hill is regaining his strength & form is to use him in short high leverage relief, until he`s ready to start full bore. That`ll take off pressure on Taylor Rogers needing to perform repeatedly. Nick wasn`t comparing Graterol to Chapman, he was just referring to his high potential based on his stuff & stats in the minors & majors.
  3. I saw Bruce Springstein misses baseball too. Hopes his vote count
  4. Cleveland is for real (actually not because it`s a game). Cleveland is mirroring our 2019 Twins early start. I`m waiting for the Twins bats to come alive & with an easy schedule we`ll close the gap.
  5. I was all excited when they signed Tori Hunter, I knew they were going to have a terrific season (my brother didn`t share my enthusiasm because he still felt betrayed when he left). I never expected him to tear up the field but knew his leadership would do wonders for the team. I was disappointed when he retired the following year
  6. Kepler is a great hitter! Like what you said he adjusted fantastically against lefties which prior he had difficulty. When healthy he will continue to adjust & be that great hitter that we expect him to be.
  7. I`ve heard people tell NFL & NBA don`t worry, things will go on as normal while a lot of people say there won`t be MLB. I`d beg to differ. #1 - I`m a die hard Twin fan while I like football. I can survive w/o NFL, NBA or NHL but not the Twins (I know my vote won`t count) #2 - While there isn`t much info on corona flu, it`s still a flu which doesn`t spread much in warm weather outdoors which baseball is a summer outdoors sport. NFL, NBA & NHL are cool-cold weather, indoor sport making them more susceptible to the virus so they shouldn`t be given a pass while MLB may not be
  8. Hard fought game good job! We`ll get them next time!
  9. I respect your opinion but these planned games will be played by very healthy, low risk, controlled, quarantined players. If any player come down w/ the corona virus, especially w/ the treatment available, the odds of anyone dying is 0. High % of people have slight or no symptoms from the virus. Many people die each year from the common flu. I know the corona virus is much more serious that the common flu & needs to be taken seriously (I`d hate to see anyone suffer) but life needs to go on. Owners, players & fans want the 2020 season. Precautions need & are being taken, I assume any player or coach have the right not to play if he`s fearful to protect against any legal action.
  10. I was thinking the same thing, Ted; how the condensed season could be an advantage for the Twins. When the proposed 2020 season start w/ many doubleheaders, we`ll need at least 10-12 pitchers who can give us quality starts, besides the 10 that we should have to fill out a rotation, we need pitchers to fill in (in case of injuries, sickness or slumps). We are blessed w/ many MLB ready pitchers & we are in a better situation than most. Even though we have these pitchers, right now we have only Berrios, who we can count on to give us regularly 7 good innings. This could put huge strain on the BP & I wouldn`t want to see our BP fold again. Taylor Rogers is fantastic but he can`t be over worked! Here I`ll make my pitch again & suggest we trade for Chris Archer. Like I`ve stated before, especially w/ Wes Johnson`s supervision, he`s ready to breakout & he`ll give us regularly 7 good innings. As I always say we can`t have enough good pitching. 2nd thing is we have many very good utility players in Gonzalez, Adrianza, Astudilo & hopefully soon Lewis to help us w/ the strain of doubleheaders. Outfield back up besides Gonzalez we have Cave, Wade, Kirilloff, Larnack, Rooker & Celestino. I like Cave but he can be traded
  11. This historic feat has been unfortunately over looked & even despised by HoF voters
  12. Great game! keep up the great work! Hopefully we can sweep them! Emmanuel Clase` will be a great starter some day but right now should only be limited to BP. Fortunate for Twins. Thanks for the stats!
  13. Thank you for your time. I`ll try it out tomorrow. Do they have a Graterol rookie replacement ? Can you do trades in the solo 2020 season?
  14. Since there is no season, I`m not interested in fantasy league though I`m interested in playing a simulated season w/ Dynasty also. Can you tell me how I can get started & give me some pointers?
  15. Very interesting! Of all the simulated games this seems most realistic & less player, team bias. Cleveland has a very easy beginning of the season series so it`s no doubt they are undefeated. We are doing well, we only need to be patient & we`ll come out on top. It`d be interesting to see the standings & stats. Donaldson is starting slow but he`ll eventually catch on fire
  16. I agree there is a definite advantage pitching in Dodger stadium especially if your a Dodger! Also being in a big market doesn`t hurt. They should take that into account. IMO Santana was the most dominate pitcher during his glory years, great article!
  17. If Oliva had the MVP award on his resume` that should have been more than enough to put him over the top for the HoF. But I`m prejudice, Oliva is my favorite
  18. I agree that Ryan had a great eye for talent. The Twins had some good years w/ the Piranhas & the Twins had that mind set of that all their players had to adapt to that style which cost us the development of great talent that weren`t that type of players. I really liked Colabella & didn`t understand why he didn`t take off like I`d like him to. Now I see why (eventhough he got popped for PED, I believe he still had the talent to be better than what he showed at MN), thank you for clearing that up. I like the mentality of the coaching staff now of customizing their coaching to maximize the potential of each player. Like I`ve said before we need to capitalize on getting untapped talent from other teams that haven`t adapted to new school
  19. The #s on your starters are great so you`re handling them pretty well except I expect better #s on Odorizzi & even Berrios
  20. Great job on the Jon Gray trade! He has great numbers in this game & should have better numbers w/ MN.
  21. What I believe is MN has done a good job of early scouting. Hopefully this will pay off. Those that are not drafted in this year`s draft are free to be procured & to go any where they want ?
  22. It`d be interesting to see all the stats
  23. I believe there will be a season this year. When the weather become warmer the COVID 19 will become weaker & can be fought off by those that are most susceptible. Treatment will be soon approved by the time it get cold again. The season must go on even if they control attendance from limited to none, becoming mainly dependent on TV revenues. I stated before how the schedule could be adjusted to accommodate the delay
  24. His devotion & faith in the Twins makes Cruz a great asset to us. I`d love to see him retire as a Twin w/ a glorious legacy.
