  1. Why not not boot Vargas, I never understood why we picked him up. They said that they were looking towards the future. IMO his future is worse than his present
  2. Rooker should`ve been called up a long time ago, even before Jeffers. Rooker isn`t replacing Buxton or Donaldson, he`ll be used to platoon Rosario or Kepler against LHP, which we still need to stack the line up against LHPs or PH
  3. Like Big Mike, cheering for him! Happy that Buck is back! W/ Keurshel hope they play Astudillo & bring up at least Booker to get some decent RH hitters in the line up. Now that Buck is back they`ll probably slide a little & avoid Lewis call up.
  4. I think Dobnak pitched a good game. He did what he does best, get grounders. Our defense line up really sucks behind Dobnak, w/ Dobnak style we need a decent defense behind him.
  5. Except for catching we don`t have decent back up in case someone is injured, slumping or just needs a rest. We really need Lewis to take that step & they need to expose him to CF to help fill in. We really hurt when we need Kepler to fill in
  6. Let`s just say that he`s changed. Texas is happy w/ him, even though they aren`t doing very well this season, I believe they`d be looking forward to next year. w/ their new stadium next year they`d like to fill it (their best advantage is their rotation, I see them try to keep it together)
  7. I think Bauer would be a good fit , he could be the ace we need to take us to the WS. IMO Wes Johnson could handle him, at least for 2 months. I think Bauer & the Reds would be motivated for the deal so they wouldn`t have a Kepler/ Bauer confrontation
  8. Totally agree, he`d make a great reliever but try to convince him of that. I don`t see him giving up on being a starter. Always liked Scoop, makes more sense than Vargas
  9. IMO we have a lot of bats at our disposal, we don`t need any more. By the end of the season, I`m confident we`ll have our bats clicking
  10. Alcala is young, he`ll have his great games & bad ones. He needs that exposure at high leverage games
  11. Really happy & surprised to see Jeffers advanced so quickly. But disappointed that they aren`t working w/ Lewis in CF. I see one of our greatest needs is mid fielder subs. Lewis can play all 3 positions CF, SS & 2B well why not utilize his talent. Polanco will be around a long time & hopefully Buxton & Arrais will be around awhile, I see Lewis as a super utility player before settling at one position. W/ Cave in a slump, I`d like to see Booker given a chance as a RH platoon at corner OF
  12. Lynn is a great pitcher, always thought that but I agree w/ Ted that Lynn might have a bad taste in his mouth about being shafted by MN & the whole 2018 FA ordeal. IMO we should look else where
  13. We don`t have an ace. Berrios is the closest but it seems he still has things to work out. If you`re asking who`s the Twins best SP right now? That would have to be Dobnak. Who will start the 1st PS game? Is an entirely different question, could be anyone`s guess. Our 2 top pitchers right now, may not even make the rotation for the PS. Maeda is able to have success w/ his revamp pitching selection much like Parker & Perez had in the beginning of 2019 until hitters were able to figure that out later on. His different delivery also throw batters timing off, hopefully that could get us thru the ALC but I have doubt it`ll help for the WS because the NL knows him, especially the Dodgers .
  14. Dobnak`s success comes from his high GB % not his SOs, along w/ his consistency & tenacity. He will do well as long as he gets the support he needs. I don`t think he`ll ever wow us w/ his stuff but he gets the job done.
  15. The pitchers will make their adjustments & Buck will make his. The most important thing is Buck has his confidence & drive that will catapult him to the level that we expect from him
  16. I agree w/ your poll & the opinion that Buck is just warming up. As long as pitchers think they can get Rosie to chase, he`ll continue to get his walks & better selection of balls to smash. Love the change
  17. Really like the way they are going all out to protect Buck! We really need him in the game We have a lot to be optimistic about solutions to covid 19 from legitimate sources but I don`t believe anything that the Russian or Chinese say, can`t understand how so many people put so much stock in it. The Chinese have been studying the corona virus since 2002, they should get it before the Russians. I believe in what I observe not what they say.
  18. Cave, Kiriloff, Larnach, Rooker & Wade could be starters on some teams, it`s a pity that there`s such a log jam at the corner OF positions. Cave has experience as 4th OF after him Rooker as a RH platoon at corner would be my 1st choice. But now w/ Astudillo & acquiring light hitting Vargas would free up the infield for Gonzalaz to help out the corner OF. So I see none of them called up
  19. W/ the short time before the deadline, I doubt very few can fore see what their needs will be. I too believe we can fill the gap for a step in closer. Duffy would be a excellent option, Hill could another until he`s fully conditioned for PS & what will we do to get Pineda ready before PS. I see our greatest needs are up the middle established player & SP (I`m not confident on how it`ll pan out for PS)
  20. W/ the deadline so close, no team can really evaluate what needs will be until closer to the end. I believe we have the talent to effectively fill the gap of closing, Duffy would be a great choice maybe even Hill could be great in high leverage games until he`s fully conditioned for PS. You`d need a crystal ball to figure out what your needs will be, we are pretty deep on dependable substitutions except up the middle & SP (I too am not confident on how it`d shake out for PS)
  21. Like have I`ve said from the beginning, IMO this year, it`ll be rare to see any trades. Largely because of the reasons that you stated. Almost all teams will believe they`ll be in the mix for the play-offs. Like you said, " because the Pittsburgh Pirates are currently the only team that is essentially already out of the race (can’t wait to eat these words in a few weeks when they suddenly become the ‘27 Yankees). Anyways, that means that either 14 teams are going to fight for Joe Musgrove and marginally improve their rotation or they’ll take their chances with what they have". So the teams who really need pitching & who think they have a shoot will fight over Musgrove.
  22. In 2019, Wes Johnson changed Blake Parker pitch selection & he had some short term success but after hitters figured it out Parker got hammered & the BP blew up. Some time afterwards, out of that mess Duffy finally figured out relieving. Always been a fan, happy about his success. I`m too frustrated, the Twins knows that Rogers can`t pitch consecutive games but they still do it
  23. I was exited when we got Gonzalez, he has been a great asset for the team. He hasn`t let me down.
