  1. Because he is not Grifffey, Acuna or Sota. While some are ready earlier, most are better served gaining experience in the minors.
  2. It might be a good idea to see him perform at the AA level before calling him a replacement for Buxton when he gets injured
  3. It would not surprise me if he never gets an major league at bat
  4. It seems to be all about approach. Instead of trying to be Mike Trout, he should have been trying to be more like Ricky Henderson. I hope I am wrong, but I don’t see him putting it all together.
  5. Given The likelihood that Donaldson and Simmons are going to need multiple games off, I will be surprised if a Gordon or Riddle type backup is not on opening day 26 man
  6. Could Arraez be the opening day left fielder and lead off batter? And then stay out there. Then Austidillo can be left off for more of an utility infielder
  7. What are the chances that Arraez is the opening day left fielder and is used more of an outfielder to start the season and less of a utility fielder?
  8. I would much rather have Ehire in as the 26th roster spot than Willians.
  9. What I don’t get is how Marwin, who is twice the player that this guy ever will be, is vilified by most posters, and this guy is seen as a legitimate backup.
  10. He should not be on the 40 man roster. Although he has the ability to fill several roles...he does all of them at a below average level.
  11. “Best signing since Josh Donaldson “ ?? I would rate year 1 if that as a complete disaster.
  12. No to both. Spending money for the sake spending money is not a very good strategy. Rosenthal is not helping when he is on the DL. Would not offer Hand two years. And I don’t understand the fascination with Yates
  13. Some interesting suggestions but most are either unproven, not Twins property (Baez) or horrible in the field (Austudillo and Rooker), probably not what they should be looking for in super utility spot
  14. I find it odd that many of the same people bashing this trade are now upset the Twins didn’t $50 million plus on Hendricks. I guess hindsight is 20/20
  15. Who exactly are the cheaper internal candidates that can field average or better at 1b, 3b, 2b and corner outfield?
  16. All recently injured or ineffective. Not the type of starting pitcher I would be seeking. If this is the best, go young or go bullpen
  17. Polanco, Arraez, Dobnak look like locks to me. Need a SP, 2 bench players and Cruz, maybe a bullpen arm. But some of these could be filled from within the organization as well
  18. He should either be the everyday SS or not on the roster.
  19. I am willing to throw out the 2020 performances, but also don’t expect any to get back to their 2019 numbers either. Hopefully, they can all be healthy and have a normal year. Which for Polanco and Garver is to be solid top or middle of the lineup guys , with ok defense. Kepler is a platoon right fielder, and should sit against most lefty starters in favor of Marwin (or Marwin replacement) or Rooker
  20. I won’t comment on the trade, to hard to predict those. 2 million for Puig sounds too cheap, and if you really want to punt at DH, why not Rooker? And why does Marwin coming back never get any consideration, he was a pretty valuable bench player until 2020 came along.
  21. It sure is easy to spend someone else’s money......
  22. The Twins should either sign Cruz or develop the young talent. No reason to sign a position player.
  23. I don’t believe he would sign at $10 million per year and not sure I would go more than that.
