  1. No it didn’t. It just gave the haters and experts another chance to bash the owners and GM.
  2. I didn’t get access to read the column. What did Falvey say to indicate that Pablo is “more likely “ to be moved than Ryan?
  3. I NEVER said the Twins should not spend any money. I guess I just get tired of the constant TD bitching for the Twins not spending 130, 150 or 200 million when it is not warranted. Wouldn’t developing Jenkins and one or two of the young starting pitchers into top line players be preferred over dropping $50 million in free agency??
  4. The Twins are NEVER going to be able to spend at the levels that the Dodgers do. They HAVE TO draft and develop some top line talent to compete.
  5. You are correct, they should sign a few more Correa and Donaldson type of contracts. That will make things better.
  6. Not sure of your point. But if you believe the Twins will, can, should spend at the level of the Dodgers and Jays you are going to be disappointed.
  7. Who cares?? The Twins plan should be to develop some minor league talent and advance it and not spending money on mediocre fee agents. TD needs to get over its obsession with what the payroll will be.
  8. Is that a good plan or bad plan in your opinion?
  9. Some people will never learn. Despite having some success, signing Correa was not a successful move for the Twins. Development and advancement of their own farm system should be the approach.
  10. Development and advancement of minor league talent should be the Twins focus. Sure, spending money when prudent is also needed, but spending money for the sake of spending money is not a good strategy. It is ok if the payroll is 100 million one year as long as a 150 million year goes with it.
  11. The amount of money spent on the payroll during the Rocco era was not the problem. How it was spent was the problem.
  12. Maybe, maybe not. Regardless, if an article I read was factual, if the Dodgers win the series, he gets a ring.
  13. But yet if the trade had never happened he would be in playoffs right now……
  14. I will be surprised if Julien , Miranda and Larnach don’t leave the 40 man roster during this offseason.
  15. I would not trade any of them. I think 3 of the ones you listed are on the IR now. Another 2-3 should be moved to the bullpen. And several others would not be hurt by starting the season in the minors.
  16. Rebuilding the pen will be a project, but I don’t think it is impossible. What is it going to take to get the underperforming lineup, performing? If that happens with what looks to be a decent starting rotation, why couldn’t they compete?
  17. And I think they rank like 23rd in payroll. Does that mean their owners are cheap and greedy?😊
  18. What?? They should be promoted immediately so Twins Daily can see “what they got”!
  19. So it isn’t just me who find Barreiro one of the most uninformed sports talkers in America when it comes to baseball?
