  1. throw out Bichette, off-balance, to save the run. Without looking it up, how fast did Correa throw the ball? Often, he pegs 90-95mph to first. Use that as a baseline. <Spoiler alert - answer is at base of post.> 73.2mph
  2. He threw 100% strikes yesterday. Find the plate again.
  3. Gladden's pain is my pain. Flipped over to Jays radio, Ben Wagner. Phew.... pain lifted.
  4. Yesterday's sellout, 38,450. My estimate was 30,000. Tons of empty seats in upper bleachers as well as RF upper tiers. Not sure who bought them. Did the Twins and then just put them on secondary market? On Monday afternoon, nothing was available in OF on Twins.com. Tons available on secondary market. Not of consequence but just a curiosity for me.
  5. Because the site was so slammed yesterday, couldn't get this posted. Day late but sincere greetings from section 320 folks. Bury Burrios, though I love him.
  6. I am afraid that the Ontario and Manitoba fans are going to fill up the place with the tix left last night when I bought mine off Stubhub. Chief is raising the flag at TF today. Look for him.
  7. Site is going to get bogged down today unless they have rented some time on Amazon's cloud.
  8. Shoot, try MLB radio. 2 min drag and then Audacy (-ity) cuts in during play w/commercial.
  9. Physicist who won Nobel Prize this year has stated that light travels much faster to the stratosphere than we believed before. Section 321, all mine. Slower at lower elevation. Same with sound and I will have hearing aids in.
  10. Baldelli will play cat and mouse with it until he has to submit it.
  11. Whoa. No jumping line. I posted 1st in another thread, re: my cheap seats way upstairs. No administrator privileges. If they win, credit is ALL mine.
  12. I will look for you at Kramarczuk's --- same 3 games, same kraut order. I always need a fork. Look for me - cap with "Veterans for Peace." May swing to Hmong shop if Kram's lines are slammed.
  13. I don't know about the writing but I grabbed 3 nosebleeds to the games off Stubhub. I promise to post a pic from the stratosphere. Tues/Wed/Thurs $12/15/20 plus fees. Section 321/307
  14. Yes, but not for us cord cutters.
  15. KTSP. While some listings show ABC to only run video thru Hulu (free trial), this lists KTSP running it on network. https://www.tvpassport.com/tv-listings/stations/abc-kstp-st-paul-mn-hd/4773/2023-10-03. ABC is only broadcasting Wild Card Games. Fox picks up some games beyond that, but again, will that feed be available only thru Hulu? I am playing it by ear -- have an open invitation to daughter's place. The broadcasting schedule is as complicated as was the Wild Card placement matrix. MLB broadcast. Make it simpler for this simple guy.
  16. As a cord cutter, I can't remember. During postseason, blackouts on: ABC network when played at Target Field? Bally feed when played at TF? Have to figure out when to drive down to daughter's to catch games.
  17. Bud lives in Canada and doesn't like Ryu or Kikuchi. Says, "Never know which pitcher will show up when they pitch. Excellent one or erratic one."
  18. It will be a fun series. Toronto plays exciting ball. What a great matchup. For radio listeners, encourage you to flip over to Toronto feed and listen for a bit. Ben Wagner is an excellent PBP announcer. Innings 4-6, Toronto dial. If you don't have MLB radio: The Blue Jays broadcast will be on Sportsnet 590. I am guessing starters: 1. Gausman 2. Bassitt 3. Berrios
  19. Going to have Astros/Snakes on the radio. Don't want to see those boys w/6 shooters come to town. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/astros-vs-d-backs/2023/10/01/716358/preview Home/Away 39-42 / 50-30
  20. Toronto radio. Color guy, perplexed, turns and asks PBP Ben Wagner to explain wildcard arrangement: "Can you tell me how we get to Minnesota?" Ben Wagner, "We will call WestJet."
  21. https://www.mlb.com/orioles/news/felix-bautista-tommy-john-surgery No post-season work. Projected to miss all of '24.
  22. I surmise that his son's health is having an emotional toll. His boy has an extreme digestive problem.
