  1. I second your above motion. Cody said: Farmer at SS this year. /.988. Career at SS/.985 Lee at SS this year. /.959. Career at SS/.956
  2. His agent has all the data to use as leverage in open market. W/L no longer carry that much freight. Ego? Yes. $$. No.
  3. "Pagan is always accountable..." Kris Atteberry Really? Kris forgets some of the quotes when Pagan was stinking it up.
  4. He is doing it remotely from his basement in St Michael.
  5. Angels radio is broadcasting remotely. Good grief, what a miserable team from owner, FO, on-field and back-office. Trout has only played 82 games this year. With whom will he play next year? What a waste of 13 years.
  6. While I agree w/ your general comments, games are meaningful for establishing momentum going into post-season.
  7. I am closet-rooting for Schanuel. '23 LAA 1st round draft. Don't disown me. Florida Atlantic University, my alma mater.
  8. Thx, I had forgotten this. Buxton? He has not contributed to this team in 2023. Farmer.
  9. And a confidence builder for the young man who is aware of his defensive "lightness." Gladden has talked about the extra hours he has put in w/Twins coaches so as to improve.
  10. Careful. Julien, about whom so many worry defensively, .990. Lee, defensively '23, .959.
  11. You must be retired, where every day is Saturday, like some of us. <Winks>.
  12. "The Oakland Athletics are arguably the laughingstock of baseball, and the team’s latest misstep has reenergized feelings of disdain and disbelief, even from longtime fans. When Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera came to the Coliseum on Thursday, the A’s gifted the World Series MVP a signed, bottle of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Caymus Vineyards, one of the most mass-produced wine brands in America.... What’s worse is the gift comes off as problematic and insensitive. Cabrera publicly struggled with alcoholism in the past. Last year, he celebrated 3,000 hits with nonalcoholic Champagne...." https://www.sfchronicle.com/food/wine/article/oakland-athletics-miguel-cabrera-wine-18383532.php A's can't get anything straight this year except Interstate 5 to Vegas.
  13. Glendale Desert Dogs, Twins Barrington, Carr, Ethridge, Labas, Veen, P Corsetti, C Sabato, IF Rosario, OF
  14. I get veterans tix; 1/2 price M-Th. I pay $14/16, depending on opponent.
  15. Rolled into MLB.com to purchase my tickets for postseason. (If you have purchased this year, they sent out code). Will have to pass. My standard seat up in 319 is $71. I will have to find some gin mill that has the game on and persuade my wife to a long, leisurely dinner 3 nights in a row where we both can enjoy a meal for that $71. Cheer them on for me, tix holders! Note: It appeared that they have blocked off all the bleacher seats, driving people to buy the pricier tix before they open up bleachers.
  16. "Athletic trainers are licensed or otherwise regulated in 49 states and the District of Columbia." https://natad2.org/info_public.htm#:~:text= Athletic trainers are licensed,BOC) credential (ATC). CA is only state without regulation. He practiced in Florida and Michigan and clearly is aware of the need to be responsible for his certification/licensure. It is not the state's responsibility to seek him out.
  17. Dumb. Any licensed/certified health care worker knows that they either have reciprocity to practice in another state or that they need to file for appropriate license. Hired in Oct and applies the next April. Really? Even a barber knows this stuff.
  18. Twins, double steal. Be still, my heart.
  19. Just got home from court. Was Greene that good (14Ks/7inn) or did Twins make him look that good?
  20. When facing an opposing team batter, I use .250 and .750 as how to mentally sort the guy out. As an aside, I was curious. Forced me to look it up: MLB average this year is .249/.735.
  21. Reds have 2nd youngest team in MLB. Guardians have youngest.
