  1. Always amazes me how a player can know his weakness in chasing pitches and yet finds it hard to make the mental adjustment. But I haven't given up on Lee. I think he will work it out ..
  2. If they select a high school pitcher it isn't going to speed up anything
  3. So management thinks they are impressing us with an Out-Man and a Rodent.
  4. Yes, they tried to put a good spin on a bad situation. Tried to sell, asked too much and failed. Did the next best thing and sold 20% to reduce debt which in and of itself is good. But after all of that I doubt they will spend big money only to back into more debt. I woukd be interested in knowing how they built up that much debt in the first place. Some say the debt was from other businesses. Donthe Twins generat positive cash flow? Have the plugged the holes on where the debt originated? So many questions going forward. But, what's for certain, they have lost the faith of the fans.
  5. That is all fine and dandy but what good are new ideas when the Pohlads still control the purse strings.
  6. Tend to agree with what you said but for the life of me, looking back over his minor leagure career, I have no idea what they see in Adams.
  7. Nothing like boiler plate ******** PR release. The Polads will remain a ball and chain around our ankles.
  8. I held all along ad nauseum that we never shoukd have signed Correa the second time due to the we were a small market team and couldn't afford to pay one player 36 million unless he was a big time difference maker and could stay on the field. Took a lot of shot over it and probably will for this post. Had Correa proved me wrong I would have admitted it. Before the deadline I said I would give Correa away for free to rid our selves of his salary. And we did but best we could do is rid ourselves of 70% of his salary. If that doesn't prove my point I don't know what does. That said, I never had anything personally against Correa. He was a great teammate but never thought he was the leader of the team.
  9. From what Ive noticed is that if you can rake (Culpepper doesn't hit everywhere he goes, he rakes) in AA you can hit in AAA. I agree, get hum up there now.
  10. How crazy would that be. After paying Walker the 20 million they saved from trading Correa they basically would have been paying Correa for Walker head up.
  11. I had just assumed he woukd move into the closer role for the time being. Bug shock he was traded.
  12. Im left wondering how high of a draft pick can we climb to
  13. Can someone explain to me why Keirsey is still up considering he's batting a buck ten after 82 atbats.
  14. Maybe Correa ought to appologize for not living up-to-the money we paid him. Then he can criticize everything else if he wants to.. I have to admit this is the most dysfunctional I have seen things since 1961
  15. Man, I should have edited my last post .. lol but you get the gist
  16. I agree. We slidbthr window back unless new ownership spends big next year. At least they have 22 million to work with from the Correa trade. I wish someone woukd dobabrankung if our NEW too 40 minor league players. Only waybI can evaluate what we got for all the players we imunloaded. The Vsrland trade made no sense.
  17. I sense the gave up on him is real. Too rated projects that dont turn out are very seldom rehabbed.
  18. Thats not what bothers me. Its that Im not seeing fair value coming our way.
  19. It's like we gave them all away! Im not digging what they got in return. Only hope is the new owner is going tonspend big in free agency. If not, I'm not sure we can even field a team next year. My mind is officially blown, but not in a good way. Anyone willing to share your asprin.
  20. Also, trading these players away for minor league prospects does nothing for next years team without unloading 36 mill a year to able to sign veterans to next years club.
  21. If true, and the Twins don't jump all over this chance to unload 36 mill a year of salary, then they are nuts. I don't even care if they get anything in return. Just unloading his salary is enough for me.
