  1. Margot .209 .AVG AVE279 OBP Julian .207 AVG ..309 OBP Farmer .163 AVG .274 OBP --------------------------- Julian's lack of versatility, has options left, and the team isn't ready to admit they made bad signings, which is why Julian is the one. Any talk of his poor performance vs the other two isn't justified.
  2. Every year, we seem to pick up a couple of over-the-hill major league players they stick with all year and keep two promising Twins from getting at-bats in the bigs. What they did to Larnach last year was criminal. Now Lewis and Lee are about ready, with Larnach and Miranda playing well. What are the odds the Twins will let Margot and possibly Santana go to make room? I'd be fine with it just being Margot but if they hand onto him all year to the detriment of a young player I'm going to be as disappointed as I have been the last several years.
  3. This is off-topic, but Miranda has been quietly good this year. Doing what we hoped he would do last year yet nobody is talking about him.
  4. You would think that was a week 16 injury report for an NFL team ...
  5. So strikeouts and walks Rodreguez take up 54.1 % of his plate appearances. .262 hits make it 80.3% of total plate appearances he can not hit into a double play, leaving 19.7%. Out of those, I would imagine half, 10%, he will not be hitting with men on first, so now he has a 9.7$ chance to hit into a double play. A certain number of those will be fly balls, leaving %% opportunities he will hit a ground ball with men in position for a ground ball and possible double play. Then add in his speed, and Rodreguez will not likely hit into many innings-ending double plays. Okay, I was bored this moring ..
  6. I think the bigger story is don't give up on Larnach, Krilloff or Wallner at age 27 ..
  7. I don't want him to move up. I want him to drop the prospect part .. But we shall see. Varland had some good stretches and he's having to start all over again.
  8. Larnach 27 Castillo 27 Krilloff 26 MIranda 25 Julian 25 The top two were left for dead a year and a half ago. Miranda was last year, and Julian is struggling to start the year. The jump from minors to majors is hard and takes time to adjust. I[m nowhere near ready to giving up on Krilloff at this stage ..
  9. Do we worry when Kepler goes into long slumps. Do we worry when Correa started in slumps early in the first two seasons. Do we worry when Buxton goes into long slumps. Sure we do but unfortunately they are a part of the game ..
  10. Varland needs to go back to the pen. Emmanuel Rodriguez OBP is sick. Almost one in every 2 bats. Hits for tremendous power but if he walks he can steal bases.
  11. Correct. On the defensive side, his ability to manage the pitchers and call the game affects every pitcher on the mound's performance, not just throwing out runners or not committing errors. So, he has good value ... But I do like me a good hitting catcher when you can catch one ..
  12. Kiersey Jr is a left-handed hitter, but he's hitting ..301 playing every day. Faster and better outfielder. They can even play centerfield. Oh yah, he is a centerfielder .. but don't hold your breath. Management will never cut Margot because we owe him money, which would signal they made a mistake.
  13. Twins found a gem. Got to hand it to them. Whole package. Versatility, fast, steals bases, hits for average and a good teammate. I wonder if he can pitch
  14. And Larnach. I remember everyone had written him off last year when they never gave him enough bats .. Same with Miranda. Wish we would have more faith in our young players and let them develop than spend five.\six mill on players over their prime.
  15. They never admit they were wrong. As long as they remain on the team, they can pretend, but the minute they cut them, they have to own up. It's really sad but it's the truth
  16. No, Woods-Richardson is doing just fine. Plus, Duran had not found his form yet this year in preseason .. Not to mention you would have to find a way to stretch him out ..
  17. NO!!! He's found his grove as a long reliever and now let's Varland fund his .. relief pit hing prove from last year .. Then, everything will be groovy 😎
  18. I think it's a great sign pitchers don't want to throw him strike. That will change when he reaches the majors. His dercerning eye will be an asset ...
