  1. Okay, then you explain why the current major league body always breaks down.
  2. So, how do you explain why the ballplayers of yesteryear very seldom get hurt compared to the players of today, who lift weights and are constantly up and down?
  3. What I take from this is, Lewis needs to change his workout routines. He's too muscle bound. Lay off any heavy weights. Spend half the time on exercises to make him more flexible. Because if he can't stay on the field he not worth that much. That said, we do have plenty of depth to take his place when he's on IR ..
  4. Some are unproven .. Must be referring to Raya. Faced 5 batters, two walks, three hit batters, gave up 5 earned runs ...
  5. i think it's more likely Austin will take Juliens spot to begin with. We more than have second base covered.
  6. Usually, someone cheap with his money expects others to be frivolous with theirs. Polads probably tried to drive too hard of a bargain.
  7. It seems to me like two ways to score an overabundance of runs are either through speed on the base path or one of the top home run teams. I don't see the speed so I'm hoping the big bats start hitting the long ball this year.
  8. I remember following the 2022 draft, and it seems like they drafted 10 or more pitchers in a row in the early rounds. Smart move as we were getting depleted in pitching prospects, and since pitchers are hit and miss better in numbers. Plus, I believe they were mostly college arms, so they had a shorter time to the majors. Now lets draft 10 right handed outfielders in a row 😄
  9. It’s a strategy that’s given playing time to righties like Kyle Farmer, Manuel Margot, Donovan Solano, Kyle Garlick, and Jordan Luplow, often at the expense of younger lefty hitters Now there's a lineup that will strike fear in the hearts of teams.
  10. One of those articles you scroll down in search of the conclusion, hopefully, in a nutshell
  11. I just read we gave France a one year 1 million contract that's not guaranteed.. makes me feel better.
  12. If you're hoping for the same kind of defense the Twins got from Santana, though, prepare for disappointment, France is a stocky converted second baseman without great mobility or especially soft hands. Man o Man. Now that's the answer to my dreams ... They add all of these average big leagues that will cost our young players a position or reps. We will have the best AAA team in history because if it plays out to my worst nightmare, the new guys will stay healthy all year ..
  13. I've got an idea. Why don't we keep signing marginal veterans that the Twins will play all year and not cut even if they stink up the joint and clog Saint Paul with our young talent ..
  14. All it takes is one throw, ala Joe Ryan .. But here's to hopping we have a healthy season for a change
  15. They are saying they are adding to our depth and now want to add to the depth at shortstop. But these guys can't be sent down and from past seasons they will refuse to cut any of these players until the season is over even if they don't perform. Ans they are pushing future Rwins back down to AAA. So, do what you're going tobdo but don't call them depth. Call them 25 man roster additions.
  16. Keirsey would have been my choice. Better bat I believe if you give him some abats, faster I bet and possibly as good as Badder. Could be wrong but Keirsey is a hell of a lot cheaper.
  17. What? Correa is going to stay healthy all year, don't you know ..
  18. Where do injuries play into their outcome. They don't because no one can predict them. So take any prediction with a grain of salt.
  19. On a side note the article said the AL North Division is known for not spending much money. I hate the MLB salary structure where big market teams can outstanding small market team but it just dawned on me at least the other teams in our division don't have a lot of money to spend. So it's very fair in regards to winning our division.
  20. I understand how excited everyone is to see Jenkins debute, but we must remember he won't even turn 20 until 3 weeks. The last thing I want is for him to come up too early. Let's wait and see how he performs in spring training and AA first ..
  21. seriously, you want to trade for ANOTHER left-handed corner outfielder.
  22. That's what I took away. We have sucked at drafting and developing pitchers. But I feel better about the young group we have today.
