  1. As far as I'm concerned moving Varland back to the pen would have been a much better move.
  2. That also means we won't be going against another team totally healthy.. And what's to insure the guys we trade for don't get hurt.
  3. We are loaded with left-handed outfielders. So, the question is, Should we trade Kepler, as we will get nothing for him after the year is over?
  4. I also think it's time to cut Farmer or somebody good will have to go down.
  5. I just realized I have not posted in a long time. Had to look in the mirror and realize I post when there is something I feel is going wrong, not right 😜 I'm actually happy not to need to post.
  6. Varland gave up 12 runs in 2.1 innings today. The discussion should be, why in the heck didn't we leave him as a reliever. Don't rock the boat with Jax when we have plenty of starting pitcher options.
  7. I have been a vocal critic of Correa in the past. It's not Correa, but the money we are paying him. At the end of last year, I said I would hold my tongue this year for at least the first two months. And I'm still gladly holding it. This is what a 35-million-dollar player is supposed to look like!
  8. How bout we quit worrying about whether a batter is left-handed or right-handed and just worry about whether they are a good hitter or not.
  9. Plus, Lee is knocking on the door to the majors right now and could take over SS, moving Lewis back to third and Miranda back to first.
  10. Farmer was the original plan before we resigned Correa, but no one knew Lewis was going to get injured out of the get-go. Correa could have gotten injured out of the get-go. Anybody can, but at the beginning of the season, that's not what people expected. As for who I would have signed, you can start with Sonny Gray with two-thirds of the money. Sonny is 8-4 with a 3.01 era for STL, an average team.
  11. Is Correa an asset to the team? I sure hope so for 36 million a year. But you must consider what 36 million would have provided you if he wasn't on the team. Let's say Lewis plays SS and Miranda plays 3b, and we use the extra 33 million on other positions. Yay, Correa is overpaid, in my opinion.
  12. I agree with the move, but I'm more puzzled about what happened to Julien. He hit every step of the way and at the bigs last year. How can you just fall off the cliff like that. I'm beginning to think the mental part of the game when you are in a slump really has a lot to do with not being able to come out of the slump. Meaning the pressure you put on yourself
  13. If they just didn't have the Nike logo on them, I might like em ..
  14. You might want to double-check. I'm pretty sure Connor Prielipp's right arm has completely fallen off.
  15. Seems like the minor league clubs are starting to get clubbed like baby seals. My sense is we have quality through a certain level and then the talent just falls off the table ..
  16. A fair trade: E-Rod and Raya for Luzardo. I'm not saying I would do it, but that is probably what it would take to get it done.
