    I don't expect the Twins to bring Jenkins up until September. They are more worried about his controllable years as they should be.

    What we need is clarity. So either get back into competition or drop out so we can make some big decisions come trade deadline.

    You knew the answer to your question was a hard no before you asked it. At least yiur article is about adding help to our relif core but hopefully the next article from any contributor is about more reasonable priced mid to back end talent.

    Agree the article followed it's title. Was just saying I haven't seen any articles focusing on the bullpen. It's as if no one wants to address the elephant in the room.

    It amazes me that almost every article seems to focus on shuffling lineups when we have ignored our bullpen since last off-season. There is no way we go anywhere without reforming the bullpen from outside the organization. And what's crazy is relief pitchers are the least expensive players to pay. And most likely the easiest to trade for. But I imagine management and followers will just keep a blinds eye to the penny and pretend it isn't are Achilles heal.

    If we want to stay in the hunt we need to trade for 2 relievers. We can keep Ryan and trade him in the off season But we won while Jeffers was out and have to catchers behind him. Jes, we would be better with Jeffers but, If we don't help the bullpen then even if we backed our way into post season we aren't going anywhere.

    I agree. Larnach has been much maligned for the last 3 years. Even if you don't see him as a centerpiece going forward due to Jenkins and Rodriguez he has trade value now.

    Exactly. He is only 21 years old. But I have a question. If there is a prolonged strike next year, will miner league baseball still play their season?

    Could it have to do with the fact that if you added all of their atbats together they probably hit a robust .120

    2 of them just got there. Gomez has done fine but the rest of their pitching staff is atrocious

    I love it! 9 pitchers in a row so far. They took in in a row about 5 or so years ago with good results. Guess they realized what I did. Their minor league pitching staff as a whole is horrible .

    We traded Ryan Sprock for Tommy Nance. Have to believe they will consider Nance a key contributor in the bullpen because he's 35 and Sprock was tearing up single A ball. I think Sprock was a terrific prospect so this better work.

    For anyone that follows the Twins minor league box scores every night like I do I question how good our miner league talent is beyond, Culpepper Rodriguez and Jenkins. There are some nice pieces further down but when it comes to pitching the bulk are, to not put it nicely, a bunch of bums. Yes there are a few like Quick and Hill but every night the bulk of theor pitchers get raked. Just go down there list and it's littered with pitchers with ERA's well above 6 .. many are double digits. Just last night their top 3 levels gave up a total of 43 runs. That's over an average of 14 runs per game. We really need to restock the arms on the farm.

    I agree, but I prefer Lackey if he is their for #1 .. After that load up on potchers. I follow the minor league box score before I hit the sack each night and our minor league pitchers eras are horrendous. I remember a few years back after the 1st to picks I believe we took 8 pitchers in a row and most panned out.

    Hmmm. How about we rank our top 3 and take the highest ranked one that falls to us . Let's not over complicate this. Personally.. I would love to solve the cather position for as long as we hold Lackey's rights ..

    Jenkins went 4 for 5 I believe. Woukd live to see him called uo in September at the latest.

    So the Witchita lineups highest BA out of 9 players was .211 .. the average BA is somewhere in the .190's .. Crazy

    Raw power, starting to hit for average, .389 OBP (which is phenominal) considering he can steal bases at a rapid clips. Kid's only 21 and he's doing this in AA .. I expect him to be a key contributor for the Twins in a few more years. Great article!
