For anyone with kids, if you've ever hoped one would grow up to be a doctor and they don't, remember that photo and breathe a sigh of relief that your child did not grow to up to be the one to have to give that dude a colonoscopy. Or any other medical procedure other than shooting him with the tranquilizer gun to stop the carnage at Old Country Buffet.
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 If I keep reporting on what I've learned in class on these game threads, does it mean that all of TD will get the MBA as well? That would be pretty cool. But for now I think we need things to talk about that don't remind us of the game that we are watching.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Yes I do... They call me Smash Atom the Super Collider around these parts. Among other names.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 When I was a bachelor... I used to buy noodles... Tuna and cream of celery soup... And I'd mix them together and I'd have that every other night... Kraft Mac and Cheese the other nights. Unless I didn't have any clean pans to cook in... Then it was Doritos or Crackers and Cheez Whiz. I was in my 20's and I could have ate Tupperware and my system would have been ok. lol ... I made noodles last night for supper. But no cream of anything soup went on them. Just some grilled peppers and onions, seasoning, a little butter, a little oil and cheese. Basically what I had on hand, which wasn't much.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Hey, just noticed USAFChief avatar change appears to go with a recent upgrade to mod status. Bringing some Arizona cultural flavor to the position?
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Love it myself. Almost as much as tator tot hotdish. Recipe? When I was a kid my grandmother taught me how to cook. She had survived divorce by running a truck stop restaurant and thought that cooking would guarantee me a job if all else failed. So when I was a bachelor, I cooked a lot. I miss that.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Meanwhile... our offensive juggernaut just scored via a walk and two infield singles. W00t. / edit - followed by a run-scoring fielder's choice plus error
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Ahh. See I call it "Tuna Slop" if it's tuna, cream of mushroom soup, peas and then poured over toast. Also delicious. At least with the peas there is some actual vegetable in there.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 yes! I'm hoping I can go to work tomorrow and not have to hide out because of the game.
Rick Blaine Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Watching the commercials and the Fox North Girls - I noticed Jenny is missing. Did she get traded?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Among other names. My favorite target is Bonnie the 60 year old Business Manager at work. She is a super collider like myself. At least 3 times a week we round corners at the same time. Its gotten to the point that it doesn't even faze me when I knock over her 60 year old body anymore. I just help her up and say see you tomorrow... Same place I'm sure.
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Ashbury, this might be a good time for Olivia. The Twins may be in rally mode.

A bit early, here in the seventh; but you raise a good point, high leverage situations are when you bring in your closer *and* by extension your rally avatar.
